The mother wound runs deep — it often shapes our relationship with love, self-worth, and how we care for ourselves and others. It can show up in the way we nurture ourselves, set boundaries, seek approval, or hold emotional responsibility for others. This wound can influence our capacity to receive support, feel nourished, and trust that it is safe to soften and rest.
At its core, the mother wound reflects an imbalance in the feminine energy — the energy of emotional nourishment, flow, receptivity, and connection. It teaches us about attachment, compassion, and self-care, yet when unhealed, it can create patterns of overgiving, perfectionism, guilt, or emotional disconnection. When this energy is disrupted, we may struggle to feel deserving of love or find it difficult to prioritise self-care and inner softness. Healing the feminine within restores the balance between giving and receiving, allowing deeper compassion, wholeness, and self-nurture to emerge.
I’ve been diving into the Mother and Father Wounds and Inner Child Healing while preparing content for a new and upcoming EMK masterclass. These themes arise often in clinic, and exploring them brings profound awareness, healing, and transformation. Seeing an Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology Practitioner can help you shift these deeply held patterns and blocks that often stem from the early imprinting years — from birth through age seven — where so many of our emotional foundations are formed.
I look forward to sharing more as this body of work unfolds. 🩷
