R.I.P NOELENE... my patient and friend .
It's fair to say, over our careers, we develop connections to our patients.
In my experience, after practicing for 26 years and seeing thousands of patients, i've been lucky enough to develop great connections along the way. None more so than with Noelene.
I first met Noelene about 20 years ago. She was referred to me by a Physio who felt she would benefit from ongoing massage and mild stretching to keep her moving optimally.
Along the journey, i learnt alot about Noelene and her life and she learnt alot about mine.
She adored my daughter Olivia, who from the age of 8, would always help me out at the clinic, taking payments and re-booking appointments. Liv is still involved at the clinic and as such developed a connection to Noelene.
The conversations we had were always fueled with enthusiasm, whether to topic be politics, football, her family trips to Ballarat, holidays with her friend June, or Provis, who she was heavily involved with.
Noelene was always my first patient of the week. I always looked forward to starting the week by seeing Noelene. It was always a pleasure hearing about her week and her plans.
My new routine will undoubtedly take some getting used to. Whoever gets the first appointment for the week will certainly have some big shoes to fill..
Noelene, i want to thank you firstly for your loyalty to BTG and our family of therapists, who will all miss you greatly.
Thank you so much for your friendship to me personally. I will so greatly miss you and our chats...
At 87 your body gave up but your spirit will always be remembered.
Thank you for being such a significant part of my career aswell as at BTG.
RIP Noelene
