This circle taught me how much it is important to share our stories and experiences. We learn from each other, not only facts, but empathy, connection ,resonance, and also that our story may be one amongst millions, nevertheless it is unique.
And by sharing, we heal. By listening, we heal others.

A range of cheeses from Camembert to chèvre, to Gruyère type cheeses, fetta, paneer, yoghurt, butter, ghee, ricotta... You can learn how to make all those from our hobby farm in Chidlow.

The setting is a colourful strawbale house in a lush garden, and the teacher is Ana, who has been making cheeses since 2014.

She will teach you all she knows and you will go home with her recipes, and feeling that yes, you can make your own cheeses in your own kitchen!

We provide morning tea and conviviality :-)

We are starting the new season of workshops, in Chidlow, with:

- Cheese making courses on Wednesday the 4th,the, 11th and 18th of March... From Camembert to Gruyère, via chèvre, mozzarella and paneer. And more!

Sourdough bread making on Saturday the 14 th of March.
Here you will learn how to make delicious bread, and go home with starter and dough to bake!

On Sunday the 15th of March it is a strawbale building talk, as we are over the building days. You get to learn all we have learnt over 25 years of building and living in our strawbale house.
You go home with plans and tricks of the trade.

Elfie and Berty are 2 young pure Saanen bucklings of 4 months old, and they live in Chidlow at the moment, with their family... however they need to make their way out into the world...
That's the way it goes in the goat world...
They are both tame, and almost the same age, but they each took after their mum and are very different in size and temper. Berty is small and very friendly, His size is partly because he had to share the milk with his sister... while Elfie is tall and slightly shy because he had no competition from any sibling and his mum is a little shy too.
But they are all tame as tame can be.

The power of mulch is incredible to bring relief to the earth even on a mild sunny day.

Mulching is so important in summer as much as in winter, in fact. The worms are your allies, they will help with bringing nutrients underground, aerating the soil in doing so.
