Mondia Medical Services Pty Ltd (trading as Childers Doctors Surgery) will cease to trade from the 3rd September, 2022. Dr Esteban Mondia will be handing over the practice to the Wide Bay Health and Hospital Service (WBHHS) or a subcontracted entity, to run the surgery from this date.
Dr Esteban Mondia first came to Childers to work as a doctor in May, 2013. On the departure of the previous Medical Superintendent with Right to Private Practice (MSRPP), Dr Mondia took over the running of the practice in 2015. As a part of his contract with the WBHHS, Dr Mondia was given the right to practice as Principal Doctor of Isis Medical Centre, as it was then known.
During his tenure as MSRPP, Dr Mondia has seen numerous doctors come and go. After many years of dedicated service, Dr Mondia decided that now was his time to move on from Childers and join his family who reside in Brisbane.
Dr Mondia would sincerely like to thank the Childers and surrounding communities for their support over his years as MSRPP of Childers MPHS and Principal Doctor of Childers Doctors Surgery. He has loved meeting people, and getting to know his patients – including their families, interests, and hobbies. Dr Mondia has also revelled in emergency medicine, witnessing interesting cases, and working closely with an array of talented doctors and nurses. On a more personal note, Dr Mondia has enjoyed contributing to the community by way of sponsorships to various community groups and clubs, and to The Isis District State High School awards evening. Dr Mondia is humbled by the support the community has shown him since his resignation from his position with WBHHS, and is extremely grateful for the well wishes he was received from his patients, patients of the surgery, and the wider community.
Dr Mondia would also like to thank WBHHS for giving him the opportunity to practice in an active and vibrant rural Hospital and its associated clinic.
Dr Mondia thanks you for your support and kind understanding.
