Happy Thursday!

We are back with another ‘OT Activity of the Week’, this time focusing on hand eye coordination.

‘Hot Potato’ is a great game as it involves catching, throwing, and passing the ball around quickly. Make it harder by using smaller balls and getting your child to count out loud how many times they have passed the ball.

This is also a great opportunity to get outside and spend some time with your child!

Hi everyone, hopefully you all had a restful long weekend and the Easter Bunny came by to visit!!

For our ‘OT Activity of the Week’, here is a simple but effective activity that will help your child with letter formation, which is a child’s ability to form the letters of the alphabet correctly.

All you need is a big Tupperware container, some sand or rice, and room to make a mess! We recommend doing this activity outside where it is easy to clean up. Getting your child to use their index finger to write each letter in the sand is a great fine motor activity, as well as a multi-sensory strategy for writing.

OT ACTIVITY OF THE WEEK

With Easter just a few days away why not start getting into the spirit by making some ‘Easter Egg’ Biscuits??? You can either make the biscuits yourself, but pre-made biscuits also do the trick!

Getting kids into the kitchen is a fun way to engage children in therapeutic tasks. Following recipes, measuring quantities, developing fine motor skills and getting some great sensory input, all while having some fun. The best part of it is you get to eat the end result!

Happy Friday Everyone!

It’s been a long time with no posts but we’ve decided to dust off the keyboard and bring our page back into action.

Each week we will be sharing an ‘OT Activity of the Week’, which will be a simple and fun activity you can do at home with your kids.

This week’s activity is painting rocks! This is a great way to build on fine-motor skills, coordination, and imagination – as well as add some colour into your backyard! Bonus points for being outside and enjoying the lovely weather.
