We would like to share some difficult news with you all. On Wednesday 11th February 2026 our beloved Pauline Tee passed away. Pauline was a volunteer with us at Lifeline Connect Clare and the Lifeline OpShop Gawler.
Pauline joined Lifeline Connect in October 2022 and from the very beginning brought warmth, dedication and her trademark enthusiasm to everything she did. With a remarkable 44-year career in nursing and many years advocating for people experiencing mental health challenges and those from gender diverse backgrounds, Pauline embodied compassion, courage and service.
Age was never a barrier for Pauline, in fact, she showed us all what it truly means to “grab life with both hands.” Whether mastering new systems at the Connect Centre, faithfully covering her weekly volunteer shifts, supporting our Gawler Lifeline shop while staying with family, or walking the full route of the Burra Christmas parade with her festively decorated walker, Pauline approached every opportunity with determination and joy.
Her passion for Lifeline Connect was evident in her extraordinary fundraising efforts. What began as a small raffle at the Clare Easter Markets turned into two incredible community raffles, raising over $3,000 for our Clare Connect Centre. She was rightly recognised as Clare Connect Volunteer of the Year in February 2024 for her outstanding contribution.
Pauline was also a proud participant in the Out of the Shadows Walk and the Push-Up Challenge, consistently championing the importance of mental health support. She even took the opportunity to advocate for our services with Premier Peter Malinauskas at the Clare Show and represented Lifeline at Government House in Adelaide in 2023 to celebrate 60 years of Lifeline, a day that brought her immense joy.
Pauline was humble, kind, big-hearted and endlessly supportive. Only last week she was speaking about her plans for the next Push-Up Challenge, already thinking about how she could give more.
She has touched the lives of so many people in our community, and she is greatly missed by our team and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Pauline’s family and friends.
Thank you, Pauline, for everything, your passion, your ability to light up a room, your positive attitude, your humour, willingness to do nearly anything to help others, and again your everything. Love, your Lifeline family ❤️🌹🐎
Please note Lifeline Connect Clare will close early at 1pm this coming Friday 27th of February as our staff and volunteers attend Pauline’s funeral. A formal post regarding this will be posted in the coming days. In lieu of flowers Pauline had also requested that anyone wishing to give flowers instead donate to Lifeline Regional SA and Far West NSW which you can do at llsafwnsw.org.au/donate
