We’re excited to introduce Dr Kevin So to the 5D Clinics Melbourne team!

Dr So is a highly experienced Radiation Oncologist, specialising in advanced stereotactic techniques and precise, non-invasive treatments for complex cases.

After completing his medical degree at Monash University and specialist training at Alfred Health and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2015. He leads the TREMOR Trial for Parkinson’s tremor and the SHRINC Study on brain metastases and is a treating specialist at the Jreissati Family Pancreatic Centre, Epworth.

Dr So has extensive expertise in treating both benign and malignant conditions, including skull base tumours, AVM, trigeminal neuralgia, tremor, and cancers of the brain, lung, liver, pancreas, prostate, and kidney.

Dr So is renowned for his personalised approach and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive treatment plans to optimise patient outcomes.

In 2013, he played a key role in enhancing cancer care in Darwin, leading the delivery of radiation oncology services and introducing Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) techniques for breast cancer patients.

Dr De Ieso has published across multiple cancer types and brings special expertise in urologic, gastrointestinal, breast, skin, and head and neck cancers, as well as soft tissue sarcoma.

Dr Nair is an experienced Radiation Oncologist with a strong passion for education, clinical trials, and advanced cancer care.

He has led radiation oncology clinical trials and multidisciplinary care teams in Gippsland under the auspices of Alfred Health and continues to contribute actively to academia and global collaborations. He received mentorship by Professor Simon Lo, a renowned SABR expert from the University of Washington, Seattle, through the Radiosurgery Society.

Dr Nair is committed to improving patient outcomes, with a particular focus on upper and lower gastrointestinal cancer, breast cancer, genitourinary cancer, thoracic malignancies, skin cancer, and tumours of the central nervous system.

We’re excited to introduce Dr Patrick Bowden to the 5D Clinics Melbourne team!

Dr Bowden is a senior Radiation Oncologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. After beginning his career at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, he became the Director of Radiation Oncology at the Epworth Hospital.

Dr Bowden has been active in numerous clinical trials, acting as principal investigator on key studies investigating radiation therapy for prostate cancers, with a focus on stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT). He has led landmark clinical trials, including TRANSFORM and PINPOINT, which have significantly advanced prostate cancer care.

Beyond his clinical and research roles, Dr Bowden is Chairman of Access Telehealth and has held several leadership and governance positions.

With a special interest in prostate and metastatic cancers, he is widely respected for his patient-centred approach, commitment to clinical excellence, and dedication to innovation in cancer care.

Dr Conway has trained at leading institutions and completed a two-year fellowship under Dr Pat Bowden, gaining advanced expertise in stereotactic radiotherapy. He continues to contribute to landmark research, including the TRANSFORM trial for oligometastatic prostate cancer.

With international experience in Proton Beam Therapy and credentialing in CyberKnife technology, Dr Conway is also advancing radiotherapy planning through dynamic imaging and Quadra PET/CT, helping improve treatment accuracy and outcomes.
