Sometimes, we get people coming to see us who don't consider walking as exercise because it's too easy. Thankfully, it is 💯 percent exercise and has vast benefits.

Walking reaps benefits in reducing the risk factors for cardiovascular disease:
🍰 fasting blood glucose levels
😡 blood pressure
⛹️‍♀️ body mass index

The WHO recommends 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week. So get out there and take advantage of the sunshine for a brisk walk. You'll need 21.42 minutes per day ☺️

Yet to have your COVID-19 vaccination? We continue to add more Pfizer vaccination appointments across all our clinics with bookings available over the next two weeks.

Protecting yourself from COVID-19 is simple: all you need to do is call 1800 675 398 or book online at https://portal.cvms.vic.gov.au/ and then attend your appointment. We also have walk-in clinics too, where no bookings are required.

To ensure everyone can access vaccination clinics, Monash Health continues to open walk-in ‘pop-up’ vaccination clinics for local communities. There are three Pfizer pop-up clinics available this weekend:

• Minaret College, Officer Campus 9am-5pm Friday to Sunday (booking not required).
• Monash University, Clayton Campus 9am-5pm Saturday to Sunday (limited walk-ins and bookings available).
• Palm Plaza, Dandenong 9am-5pm everyday (bookings not required).

We are offering both face to face (for essential patients) as well as Telehealth appointments.

If you are attending in-clinic, please remember to bring a mask, check in and sanitise your hands as you enter.

Integrated Health will remain open for essential appointments during lockdown! All classes have been cancelled for the duration of lockdown.

If you are attending your appointment, please ensure:
- You wear a face mask 😷
- You are not displaying any symptoms
- You are not a close contact of someone awaiting a COVID test/you are not awaiting your own test result
- You have not been to any of the exposure sites as per the DHHS website

This is a super effective glute exercise... 🚨 when done WELL 🚨 Seems easy enough, but there are more moving parts than you might realise. So here’s a way to help you make the most out of your exercise.

Note: A more resistant band won’t necessarily guarantee a better burn for your glutes. Since this exercise utilises a combination of leg muscles, there is a possibility that other muscles may kick in to compensate for a lack of glute strength. Hence, choose a resistance that provides a balance between maintaining good form, with achieving fatigue in your muscles.
