MyoSure® Tissue Removal Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to remove uterine polyps and fibroids, which are common causes of abnormal uterine bleeding.

This procedure utilises a specialised device that enables a gynaecologist to precisely target and remove unwanted tissue from the uterine cavity without the need for large incisions. It is often considered when medical management has not been effective.

At Monash House Private Hospital, we are committed to offering the latest advancements in gynaecological care, including MyoSure®.

If you have been diagnosed with uterine polyps or fibroids and are experiencing abnormal bleeding, discuss the MyoSure® procedure with your gynaecologist.

07/07/2025

Orthognathic surgery, also known as corrective jaw surgery, is a procedure performed to realign the jaws where there is significant misalignment affecting function, speech, or facial balance. 🦷

This surgical treatment may be considered when orthodontics alone cannot correct jaw positioning. It is typically performed by an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and may involve collaboration with an orthodontist as part of a coordinated care plan.

At Monash House Private Hospital, this procedure is one of many within our comprehensive Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery service.

📍 For patients - Speak with your referring dentist or orthodontist if orthognathic surgery has been recommended.
👨‍⚕️ For specialists - We welcome enquiries from Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons interested in joining our VMO team.

Heavy periods are real drain.

They can be more than just an inconvenience - they can impact your daily life, energy levels and overall wellbeing. If medications and non-surgical options haven’t provided the relief you need, endometrial ablation might be a procedure worth looking into.

This minimally invasive day procedure is designed to reduce or potentially eliminate heavy menstrual bleeding by removing the thin layer of tissue (endometrium) lining the uterus. Many women find that this approach helps reduce symptoms, allowing them to get back to their routines sooner and feel more like themselves.

At Monash House Private Hospital, our gynaecologists are experienced in performing this procedure in a supportive, modern environment, using the latest equipment for advanced, personalised care.

Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is a procedure used to restore proper tear drainage by creating a new pathway from the tear sac into the nasal cavity - bypassing the blockage.

During the procedure, the surgeon carefully opens the tear sac and connects it to the inside of the nose. A tiny stent is often placed to keep the new passage open while it heals. The goal? To reduce excessive tearing and the discomfort of chronic tear duct blockages.

👁️ Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) is a surgical procedure where the eye’s natural lens is replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL) to improve focus and reduce reliance on glasses or contact lenses.

Considered for patients with presbyopia or significant refractive errors, RLE offers an alternative to laser vision correction - particularly for those with early lens changes that may affect clarity over time.
