A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came down and supported Maggie's Clean Up Australia Day event! To all of the clever stall holders, Renee from Wild Flour Bar & Desserts for keeping all the parents caffeinated, and to Ava (and Gemma) for the incredible tunes.
To everyone who came and helped collect rubbish, and to those who couldn't make it but sent messages of support.
Thank you also to District Council of Cleve and Cleve Sporting Bodies Inc for their support of this event.
It was extremely heartwarming to see the community come together and support an event run almost entirely by our young people! 💚

Between us all, we collected 16 bags of general waste, and 4 bags of recycling!

And a final message from Maggie:
I would like to thank everybody for coming and supporting the community with the clean up! I would also like to thank all the stall makers again: Matilda, Capri, Farrah, Mika, Henley and Kady. Also Ava and her mum and Renee!! My last Thankyou goes to my mum for helping me organizing the event!!🥰 I am so proud of myself for organizing and running this event!!

💚 CLEAN UP CLEVE! 💚

A Clean Up Australia Day event hosted by Maggie Nagel.

When: Sunday the 2nd of March, 2025, 9am to 11am
Where: Cleve Sporting Bodies
What: Clean up of the Sporting Bodies grounds, followed by coffee and treats from Wild Flour Bar & Desserts, tunes by Ava Leonard, and stalls run by some clever Cleve kids!

♻️ BYO gloves (We will have a limited amount available on the day) Garbage bags provided on the day.

♻️ Meet by the Sporting Bodies playground at 9am for a short briefing by Maggie.

I would like to compile an online School Holiday Activity Guide for the next school holidays - with the intention of providing an activity guide for local families, but also promoting Cleve to families on the wider Eyre Peninsula.

We have a beautiful new play space, a variety of walking trails, stunning street art, and fantastic businesses - all of which I'd like to be able to highlight, specifically to families with children during the school holiday period.

If you, your business, or community group are able to offer activities, classes, or any other school holiday related specials - please reach out!

There is no cost and you will receive free advertising for your business.
If you would like to be involved, put your thinking cap on - activities can include (but are not limited to!) colouring-in competitions, menu specials, kids cooking/wood work/dance/craft classes, nature play sessions - the list is endless!

The more families we can encourage to visit our town, and spend money in our local businesses, the more benefit for everyone - so jump on board this FREE campaign and please tag anyone you think might be interested!
