Last night we celebrated 1 year in the new practice space in Middle Street. The practice is nearly 4 years old and now sees approximately 30 sessions happen each week. This year will an exciting one as I look forward to several more publications, more advocacy work with the PHN and much more. The practice will continue to offer some reduced rate and free sessions to people in need and will donate its space to a men's recovery group facilitated by a Smart Recovery Australia facilitator. It is very rewarding to see the vision of this practice start to truly fly. It's a space to come to when it's needed, a space where you matter and you will be met exactly where you are with respect and care and gentleness.
After a much needed break sessions begin again this week.

I wanted to jump on and say hello to you all. Whether you celebrate Christmas or you have different religious observances, things do grind to a halt around now and I want to wish you a time of peace and rest. Wherever you, with people or alone, why not have a think about how you have dealt with the year and what good things may be ahead in the new year. There is so much going on in our world at present, or maybe there always is. You are doing your best and that is all we can ever ask of ourselves. Please come and have a chat sometime soon if things feel like they are getting on top of you. Even if you look at my website booking portal and cannot see a spot just reach out and if you or your loved ones need some timely support, I will find a way to make space. That's one of the reasons why I work in prvate practice, so that I CAN make time for those who need support soon and need support that is tailored for you. Come and show your support as the Quandamooka Coast Claim trial starts next Monday, 1 September 2025.

The trial will be held at the Harry Gibbs Commonwealth Law Courts Building (119 North Quay, Brisbane). It will start at 10.15am, but it is a good idea to arrive by about 9.30am to allow time to pass through security. Community members are welcome, and Uncle Bob Anderson notes that it will be important for as many community members as possible to attend to show Quandamooka strength as we look to consolidate our native title rights.

If you require assistance to attend, please contact Rob Stewart (rob.stewart@qyac.net.au) before 4pm on Thursday, 29 August.
