A Question from Russell!!!

How many triathlons does one have to do before I don’t stuff something up?

I have now enough triathlons to know better, and I have still managed to

- Put my bike gloves on inside out
- Forget my swim goggles
- Forget to take my water bottles
- Forget to take my bike tri bars
- Do 5 laps of a 4 lap bike course
- Pin my race number all the way through from the front to the back of my run shirt
- And for the piece de resistance, show up at the swim start with my tri suit on back to front! And let me tell you, there certainly is nowhere private to get changed at the start of a tri swim.

The following email has been sent to patients today. This change is effective immediately.

Flu-like Symptoms Policy Update

Recently, we have seen an increase in patients presenting with flu-like symptoms. As a result, we have reviewed our current policies for seeing unwell patients.

Our priority is to keep all patients, staff, and the community safe. If you have any of the following symptoms, please notify us before entering the practice:

• Fever
• Cough
• Sore throat
• Fatigue
• Body aches
• Sneezing
• Blocked or runny nose
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea

Practice Policy

• All patients over the age of 5 years who have any of the above symptoms and require a face-to-face appointment must complete a COVID-19 and Flu RAT test on the day of the appointment.
• Please place your completed test in a zip-lock bag and bring it with you.
• If your test is negative, you will be asked to wear a mask inside the practice and wait outside until your appointment.
• If your test is positive, please call us before attending as we may need to adjust your appointment.

We remind patients to be mindful that some members of our community (which includes our staff and our patients) have no or low immune system and they are at higher risk of complications from flu-like illnesses.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to protect the health of everyone in our care. Should you have any queries r concerns, please contact our Practice Manager.
