Along the coast of Australia, broken surfboards are being reshaped into colorful public benches, turning ocean-worn materials into something useful again. Instead of being discarded after damage, the boards are cut, smoothed, and assembled into sturdy seating for beaches, parks, and walkways.

Each bench carries traces of its past — faded paint, curved shapes, and patterns shaped by waves — giving it a unique, coastal character. The lightweight yet strong material makes it practical for outdoor use, while its appearance adds a playful connection to the surrounding environment.

This approach blends creativity with sustainability. By reusing damaged surfboards, it reduces waste while preserving a piece of local culture. What once rode waves now supports quiet moments on land — showing how materials can continue their story in new and meaningful ways.

Congratulations to TH7 for their opening today in Cleveland . Lucky for us it’s on Doig Street just a few doors away and AJ Massage and Greenstone Holistic Health ( Annette and Wendy ) were invited to a sneak peak on Wednesday before they opened their doors to the public … we had the invigorating and relaxing Nordic Experience - Traditional Sauna, Cold and Hot pools and steam room smelling of eucalyptus…. Finishing off with the cold/ ice pool. I loved it !

I had the opportunity to study with Tad through the Upledger Institute when living in the USA learning to work with the "Glymphatics" the brain's form of lymphatic drainage.. I started studying with The Upledger Institute in the 90's as well as being a teacher's assistant for them for 10years. I have spent the last 30 years gathering many effective and powerful tools including Lymphatic drainage and Brainwork through the Chikly Institute and becoming a certified Lymphedema Therapist. I have been an assistant teacher in USA, Thailand and Australia for Chikly. As we like to say in the world of Lymph -" the flow is strong in this one":)

Well its already been a busy year and it's not even mid February...!! I have just returned from travels in USA, Peru and New Zealand and had a wonderful time reconnecting with friends and clients in Chicago, USA and have a winter wonderland Christmas...... unfortunately I became ill with pneumonia on my return with some laryngitis and took a while to shake that off/heal .... now back at the Cleveland and Coorparoo clinics seeing clients and excited to see some of you again and meet some new people needing some holistic and integrative physiotherapy....
enjoying the warmth of summer after -17degrees C temperatures in a northern hemisphere winter....

Reflecting back on 2024 and want to thank all my clients for choosing me as their physiotherapist/ physical therapist / health practitioner. I am grateful for you all and the opportunity to create and be part of a great community of like minded , wellness focused people. I love what I do and for all the “tools” and skills I have acquired/ studied over the years that enable me to serve you .
Matthew and I are grateful for those of you who have attended our in person” Mystical Moments” in the Redlands - a sound and meditative ceremony .
2024 has been a very full and rich year indeed and 2025 promises to be one of magic, new endeavours and inspiring connections and growth .
