Today I had the pleasure of sharing an education session with the Perform 360 team on the impact of strength training, jump training and high intensity exercise on pelvic floor muscles and coaching strategies to support women with stress urinary incontinence 💪🏽✨
It’s such an important conversation. Too often women step away from exercise due to symptoms that can absolutely be managed with the right support.
Exercise across the lifespan isn’t just about fitness and body composition; it’s about muscle mass, bone density, confidence, mobility and aging well. Heavy strength training, impact exercise like jumping, and sport all play a vital role as we age.
We don’t want women dropping out of the activities they love. There is so much coaches and physical therapists can do to support women to stay strong, active, and empowered across the lifespan 🙌
