🌷Cleveland's Employee of the Month 🌷

Susi is a great support worker who works well with many participants, with varying needs. She is extremely reliable and always accommodating to last minute changes or requests for additions to her roster.

Susi is kind, friendly and personable with participants, co-workers, and office staff, as well as external stakeholders she encounters during her supports. We appreciate that Susi is always quick to respond to important updates and information received from the office and in turn keeps the office updated on any relevant updates re participants needs.

We are grateful to Susi and the hard work, dedication and compassion she shows every day.

Expressions of Interest -

Seeking participants for spinal cord injury cell-based transplantation and long-term rehabilitation human clinical trial. This study aims to evaluate the effects of a novel therapeutic approach to treat chronic traumatic spinal cord injury, to hopefully lead to more efficacious and highly reproducible treatment. Participants will undergo the collection of nasal cell biopsy at Gold Coast University Hospital, Queensland or Griffith University Gold Coast, Queensland. Transplantation surgery will be at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Queensland. Participants will be required to travel daily to and from our partner rehabilitation providers, Making Strides (Gold Coast), Royal Rehabilitation (Sydney) or The Next Step (Melbourne) to undergo intensive rehabilitation prior and post transplantation.

All procedures, surgery, rehabilitation, and assessments will be provided at no cost to the participant. Participants will be reimbursed for allowable expenses including daily travel and will be remunerated for time spent on the trial.

The trial will recruit people at least 18 years of age who have chronic acquired spinal cord injury and live, or will live, in south-east Queensland, northern NSW, greater Sydney or greater Melbourne and who can travel to and from our partner rehabilitation providers each day.
