It is the end of an era and the beginning of an exciting new one for Moreton Bay Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MBOG).
More than 6,000 babies have been safely delivered at Mater Mothers’ Private Redland over the past 23 years, and MBOG has been there from the first baby, to the last.
While Mater has made the business decision to close the Mater Mothers’ Private Redland, we now have the opportunity to offer patients choice in their delivery location.
From this month forward, expectant mothers can opt to deliver at Greenslopes Private Hospital or Mater Mothers’ Private South Brisbane.
It will be business as usual, our services remaining unchanged as we continue to practice in Redlands, delivering care for women antenatally, postnatally and gynaecologically.
We want to thank the Mater Mothers’ Private Redland midwives and hospital staff for your hard work, dedication and excellence in patient care for mothers in the birthsuite post partum for more than 23 years.
At our peak more than 40 babies per month were delivered safely, with compassion, empathy and professionalism at Mater Mothers’ Private Redland. Our patient satisfaction has been unequalled and unrivalled across the country, for which we are truly grateful and proud.
We commemorated the closure of Mater Mothers’ Private Redland with a liturgy attended by family, friends, MBOG babies (including four from one family and Dr Mastry’s first grandbaby!), community representatives and hospital staff, including those who have been with us since the beginning.
