𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄:

This weekend we cleaned out a big chunk of my areas at the factory. All my personalities were there to assist 😆 Lots of tears, laughs, a bit of anger and many ‘oh wow look at that’ moments.

So far we’ve filled one and a half 10 metre skips with just my stuff. Which is heartbreaking, but what do you do. Just have to keep moving forward.

In saying that, candles will be off the menu for a while. I’ve lost all my candle making supplies, equipment, glassware stock and any ready made candles 🥺

We managed to salvage a small amount of glassware however these will be turned into plant bowls and decoration for my personal use. I’d never sell anything heat shocked to my customers. Lol I always said I wish that I can keep them all… this is not quite what I had in mind 🤔😂

Candles will make a comeback at some point but for now, there will be none available when I reopen.

I hope you’re all enjoyed this glorious weekend. The weather has been amazing.

I’m going back to enjoying my cuppa in the sunshine while listening to the parrots chirp away in the maple tree ☀️😎

Good morning beautiful humans,

Sadly, a significant fire swept through hubby’s work premises yesterday.

We are thankful to the local CFA and businesses who helped extinguish the fire so quickly. And we are extremely grateful no one was seriously hurt.

However, unfortunately this is where 50% of my stock and the bulk of my equipment was still stored.

What this means moving forward:

• The scheduled launch of the website may be slightly delayed while we clean out the factory.

• Once this is done, I will need to do a stocktake and cross reference what I have loaded on the website.

I am unsure how long this will take and I am genuinely sorry that I need to postpone. I’ve had so many messages saying how pumped you were for the relaunch.

I was so close to bouncing back in to your world. The universe had different plans. There’s always a reason these things happen, what on earth that reason is I don’t know yet lol, but I can’t wait to be back.

Farewell Rustic Garden….

Welcome to Rustic Apothecary 🖤🌿

A while back I had some domain name issues. I’d also been toying with the idea of a name change, but didn’t really put much energy into it.

When things started becoming strangely difficult, it was a fair sign I needed to change things up.

I went back to the list I made 2 years ago when this was just a cloud puff having a cuppa one night:
- something that contains ‘Rustic’
- something a little on the witchy side
- something that is aesthetically pleasing when I visualise it
- something that feels connected to the past, present and future

I only listed one word underneath all the above…. Apothecary!

No more thought was required… It’s going to be Rustic Apothecary! I love it more now than I did back then.

The kicker was, all the places I needed to check name availabilities, business registers, domains, emails, socials, every single one of them was available… so freaking crazy. It was totally meant to be!

Needless to say, I snapped up my new biz name on every platform in record time 😆

Watch this space! I’m loving it! It feels better already 🖤🌱🔮

Hey hey!!!!

I’m going to try and smash through this info as quick as I can. It will bore some, so if need be skip to the last line 😂

Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who has reached out, you guys truly are amazing 💟

Super short version of why I’ve been MIA:
3 year whirlwind of significant emotional events. My mental health was in the funk trunk. I’m all good, but I needed to stop and reset.

Not a pity post, just being as transparent as possible without giving my life story lol.

So now that that’s out of the way, let me get to the point 🙌😆

I am so excited to fire back up again. I can’t wait to share all the tweaks I’m making, big and small.

I’ve changed a lot since I started my business back in ‘08. So it makes sense that my business change with me. Little bit older, little bit wiser, that’s what they say yeah? 😆

Where I am taking things may not be for everyone, and that’s ok. I am so thankful for the support leading up to this point. And as always I am more than happy to recommend trusted businesses if there’s something you need that I no longer supply.

Please be kind and bear with me as I slowly ease back into things. I will be active on socials but…… 👇

I’M BACK!!! Yayyyyy!!!

I’ve spent way much time away from here doing home reno’s, packing, moving, unpacking, plus a bit of an unplanned break to try and regain my sanity… I promise I’m only a little bit more bonkers than I was before 😆

Excited to get back into it and really align the biz with myself!

I’ll be using stories a lot instead of posts, because stories are cool and it’ll be fun to do some readings for everyone again!!!

I’ll be transitioning to 100% online sales but in the meantime, while I’m making this happen - I will open the shop every
Friday from 9am to 2pm
with some in store bonuses:

We are now closed until next year! Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas & New year.

Thank you for your most amazing support throughout 2021.

This wasn’t the year I had planned. Around this time I would usually be loving the crazy hustle, running on minimal sleep and smashing out hampers and gift wrapped goodies for everyone… but I have so much personal stuff happening it just wasn’t meant to be.

I have been asked if I am shutting shop for good because I’ve been so absent. Which is totally understandable. I can assure you, even though it looks like not much is happening over here. I have a lot brewing in the background. Like, A LOT!!

We’re moving house late January, I’ll need a little time to get settled, then we’ll be back in business.

What I am most looking forward to, is properly aligning this biz with little old me🥰 The changes may not be for everyone but “just do you” is screaming in my ears! Something I learnt a long time ago, but (not that it’s an excuse) the last two years had me in a funk, drifting from the path, then I kinda forgot to follow my own advice all together lol 😂 Time to rock it again!!

Thanks so much to everyone who dropped in and made my last day in the shop feel special! It was so good to see people in person. I’m so lucky to have such amazing customers, many I now call friends. I will miss your beautiful faces and the chats about random s**t 😆

Today was bitter sweet. I laughed and I cried, but I enjoyed every minute.

Looking forward to the next chapter, whatever it may bring.

Shouldn’t be too long until the website is up and running. I’ll keep you all posted 😉
