A Christmas Message from the Director
Team Musicare & Project Olympus 2032
Well… we made it. Our Last week of the Year...!
Note.. We finish this Friday, 19th Dec and return on Monday, 5th Jan.
Another lap around the sun, another year where the wheels mostly stayed on, the lights stayed on, and the coffee machine lived to fight another day. A year held together by big hearts, late nights, loud ideas and the occasional moment of “how did we even get here?”
Team Musicare kept doing what it does best this year. Showing up. Backing people. Creating space for confidence to grow, voices to be heard, and potential to turn into something real. The wins weren’t always flashy, but they were meaningful, and that’s where the real work lives.
Project Olympus 2032 also found its feet this year. What started as a big, slightly unhinged idea is now standing on solid ground, driven by belief, hard work and a shared refusal to accept that anyone’s story is already written. This is only the beginning.
As we head into Christmas, it’s also important to pause and think about those doing it tough. For some, this time of year isn’t full of lights and laughter. It can be heavy, lonely and overwhelming. If you can, check in on someone, make the call, send the message, share a meal, or simply sit with them. A bit of kindness goes a long way, and sometimes it’s everything.
To our participants and families, thank you for trusting us and letting us be part of your journey.
To our staff and collaborators, you are the engine room. Your creativity, care and refusal to do things the easy or ordinary way is what makes this place what it is.
To everyone who has supported us, believed in us, and backed something a little loud and a little different, thank you. You’re part of this whether you realise it or not.
I hope the break gives you time to rest, reset and reconnect. Eat well, laugh often, switch off when you can, and look after each other.
Next year is coming in hot. Bigger dreams, deeper impact, same heart.
From all of us, and from me personally, thank you for being here.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
And don’t forget to look out for others.
With gratitude,
Dan Nebe
