Practicing gratitude is something simple we can do daily that has been proven to increase our wellbeing. Gratitude leads to a reduction in stress, improved mood and better sleep. Even reflecting for 5 minutes a day on one thing we are grateful for can start to shift our focus and increase our joy in life and gives us good neurochemicals in our brains. This does not mean we need to ignore our challenges, as it is important to process, grieve and recover from the painful events that happen in our lives, however, having a mindset of gratitude can help us to move through these things and build a sense of hopefulness for the future.

The focus is on being client-centered, which means I work with your needs and goals towards growth and recovery. I have over 15 years experience in the counselling and social work fields. Here's 5 Quick Tips to Emotion Coaching your Kids

1️⃣ Stay level and balanced.
2️⃣ Name the emotion you’re seeing in your child.
3️⃣ Ask them if they want some space or want you near them.
4️⃣ Give them the time they need to feel safe and pull things together.
5️⃣ Invite them to work with you on a solution.

This process keeps the relationship intact, helps the child feel like we believe in them (so they’re feeling capable and competent), and gives them a sense of control (so they don’t feel like they have to fight with you about things).
