“YOUR GREATEST PURPOSE IN LIFE IS TO ACHIEVE YOUR HIGHEST AND TRUEST EXPRESSION OF SELF” - Oprah Winfrey

She goes on to explain that it doesn’t matter whether this comes through being a baker 🧑‍🍳 or whatever else (maybe a butcher or candlestick maker?!) … the point is that we become the very best version of a baker that we possibly can, and that we do so through the highest level of service that we can.

… Because this world 🌍 needs great quality bakers 🥖 😍

What for me is key in this, is the note around expression. That is, what comes from within and is shared outwardly with the world.

Whether through your voice, your hands, your words, your energetic presence.

However, what they don’t tell you is that when you are ready to step into your next level of expansion… to finally crack through that glass ceiling that has been holding you in place… everything that is either not meant to elevate with you, or not meant to elevate in its current form, will slip away.

That’s because it’s much easier and more efficient to rise like a fierce light beam that busts right on through, than it is to do so filled with air bubbles of “not this” bobbing around you.

So when the energy gathers… and the call comes, and you KNOW it’s time to get in the elevator heading up, it’s my wish that you do so with power, precision, grace and the TRUEST expression of self that your purpose can call on in that moment ❤️ 💃

DUBAI

This place was a perfect middle ground to take stock. Stock of what has been and what is next to become.

Traditionally, Dubai was exactly this. It was explained to me that it was the middle ground dock for Asians and Africans to meet and to trade commodities.

In many ways, it is still this today. A middle stopping place. A trading place for business.

Over the weekend of the solar eclipse, it was made for the exploring and deepening into this next mission.

That is The Summit 2025.

With the following themes, it feels completely different to our last two Summit’s.

STRONG. TENDER. POWERFUL. GENTLE.

Expansive, like them all and in its own right.

Weaving vision - innovation - renewal.

The Call of the Wild
Money + Power = Love Amplified
Renewal

These themes feel SO fundamental, real, true and meaningful- themes every woman needs to be in the space and presence of.

To grow through.

To expand upon.

And to this power and sun filled Middle Eastern hub of a city that held me as I deeply felt into these topics, I am immensely grateful.

Thank you for breathing life into these spaces, topics and ideas, so that they can be brought out into the world and also pumped into the heart of Ubud this June.

I’m thoroughly thrilled for the energy and momentum to build in this space 🥰 🌞

STRONG BACKBONE,
TENDER HEART,
DEEP EMBODIMENT…

…. Three highly essential qualities of the female leader

In the times that show ourselves to ourselves, we have choice.

We can be a soul that favours a higher truth over personal judgement

We can be a woman who is brave and bold in the face of discomfort… who knows when to move and when to stand still, patiently

A woman who maintains her posture, composure and belief, regardless of what the world throws her way

A woman of deep faith and knowing that the way will always be revealed without her fighting for answers

And, a woman who is, every day, more and more dedicated to both her mission and the light that wants to stream through her

It was an impeccable pleasure to meet this lady, Maiy, in Dubai recently. An illustrious place that has been on my radar more and more frequently.

The life she has already lived, both powerful and profound. Only, the thing about Zoom is that it does not tell us is how tall we each are in reality!

In amongst both the depths and realities of life, I am both gently and edging to more profoundly bringing The Summit to life for 2025.

Like the woman who is leading in this world, what I am hearing over and over is that it is, in-fact, The Summit which is Aspire’s backbone, heart and the embodiment of everything that this beating morsel is.

ZANZIBAR- AN EXTRAORDINARY AFFAIR

I say that in a slightly tongue in cheek kind of way.

We included this Tanzanian island off the East Coast of Africa as a sweet compliment to conclude our Umoja Tour.

I was drawn by the postcard image of the beach.

In true honesty, I didn’t know too much else about the place.

On arrival and in our first day, my eyes were opened wide by Stone Town and its almost entirely Muslim population, a deep Islamic, African and Italian cultural mecca where we found ourselves strolling through buildings of this old city.

I didn’t realise, until on the trip, the depth of connection of both Kenya and Zanzibar to the trade routes that flow from India and the Middle East. It is one of the most profound markets for spice trades in the world.

Again, my fascination with the southern route of the Silk Road was amplified and I put all of the pieces together. The thing that originally uprooted me from Melbourne life.

My deep soul hum drum for the art, culture, spirit, spices, story.. the Gypsy story- the wandering woman who took on the world in exchange of the greatest commodities and subsequently, philosophies, that have ever existed story was being brought back to life…

…. And then, I was confronted with a new story. One of this route that I hadn’t yet met.

The underbelly story.

The story of slavery, underground dungeons, chains, overcrowding, people caught, captured, sold, and transported to new and foreign places far far away in order to be threatened, undermined and kept hostage for otherwise wealthy, powerful and privileged high ranking society members of the Arab and Western worlds…. That was also a part of the story of this trade route.

A story that is in fact as beautiful and whimsical and world defining…. As it is dark, dehumanising and utterly grousome beyond belief.

Something that will take a while to process in its entirety.

A reminder that to remember that every light also holds shadow and to see one without the other, is not wholesome.

Zanzibar, in its eclectic mix of a place- a melting pot of chaos in a white stone town recognised for its spice trade, that stands for so much more in respect to this worlds history and political state than just a blue and white beachy postcardesque image.

The place that left me with more questions than answers about the world and the state of where and how we find ourselves ❤️ in how to gather, find and understand the story of who we even are.

THE JOURNEY OF 55 AFRICA

I deeply deeply cherished this moment with the incredible Lucy Chengo.

Our 55 launch in Kenya went completely differently to how every other launch has ever gone.

I felt it called on small micro moments of intimate connection (mixed with big fashion parade shindigs!).

For me, it was the tiniest experience of “breaking new ground”.

Because sometimes we must crack the top layer, before we are ready for deep impact.

See, we often favour the big, the glamourous and the elaborate… and overlook the minuet.

In this moment, I had invited each of our global women to had our Kenyan women her 55 book, and to share what she saw in the woman facing her.

In invited a dialogue between worlds.

A simple felt gesture of what 55 stands for.

Of what I am deeply passionate about and have handed myself over to.

For each woman to recognise the importance of tiny interactions… minus the big song and dance.

The tiny acts of love that both become and connect us.

With Lucy, I deeply felt the opportunity to share my reflections on my interactions with the American woman, Cindy who connected me with her.

Cindy had said to me “I would love to have Lucy in 55…. Only I’m not sure she is a good fit”. I asked more questions.

Cindy had shared that she had watched my Instagram. And that Lucy is a very conservative religious woman, a traditional small village mother of eight … and that my Instagram… is not that.

We spoke more.

She connected me with Lucy, a woman who I hold infinite respect for- in her journey as both a mother and in the work she does with young women. Theodora work SHE has handed herself over to.

It was an utter and complete honour to meet and spend thoroughly priceless time with this woman… and to tell her that directly as I handed her her book, with her face on the cover.

A woman unassuming and so different to myself.

To lean in. To hug. To appreciate that we are not so different afterall… and we CAN connect, even from worlds apart.

THIS, to me, is the privilege and honour of the work of 55.

This and SO much more ❤️

We are here to go beyond the parameters, expectations, ideals and intentions set about… and so we can experience life, work, our purpose more fully.

We are here for something that matters.

Something that enables us to experience the awe of life, humanity, power, heart and soul.

We are here to be impactful… yet we are not here to BE the balloon.

Merely its life force.
