Physiological birth of their sweet baby in the bathroom ❤️

➡️ Physiological birth (including placental birth) in the hospital very rarely happens, and even less so for first time mums, but this mama showed them it’s possible.

➡️ She laboured at home for 18 hours with her partner, then a further 6 hours with me there too helping them stay longer, and then gave birth less than 3 hours after we arrived at the hospital (this is the KEY part of physiological birth being possible in a hospital). 🔑

✅ Staying home as long as possible is THE best tip if your aim is to avoid unnecessary intervention in a policy based hospital system.

❓ But how do you do that if you don’t know what labour feels, looks or sounds like? Maybe you’re a first time mum or a caesarean for previous births.

✅ hire a doula! We come to your place first and can help you manage at home for longer! It’s evidence based that doulas improve outcomes for women and the way they feel about their birth experience.

💕 Seeking doula support for your birth? I have limited space left for the remainder of 2025 and my books are open for 2026.

When a hospital birth turns into a Homebirth during labour ❤️

This little lady made it known quite quickly that she wanted to be born at home and her strong mama and trusting dad knew that it felt safest in the moment to make that decision.

By the fire, in her safe space, surrounded by calm. An ambulance waiting patiently outside, and her midwife arriving moments before this little bub made her grand entrance into the world.

These are the moments I live for 🥰

BOOKS OPEN FOR 2026 🤯

I only have a few spots remaining for 2025 and it’s now time for some sweet 2026 babies to come through ❤️

It’s never too early or too late to reach out! I’ve taken on women at 5 weeks and 38 weeks!

I guarantee you won’t regret investing in support. I work solely for the women and families who hire me, so my focus is always on you and your needs and helping you work toward a positive birth, regardless of what that looks like for you.

If you’d like to explore having support for your birth from someone experienced and certified, you can DM me or book a free connect call to see if we are the right fit for one another.

I usually have space to take on birth only support aka my “Essential package” most months (with minimal prenatal & postpartum care), postpartum-only support or virtual support too, so reach out even if it says “full” in your due month above!

Physiological birth isn’t the right path for everyone, but why you might want to consider it in this series of tiles ➡️➡️ Swipe across.

Firstly, our society doesn’t value childbirth as a normal response of a woman’s body and has turned a physiological process into a medical condition that needs to be managed.

Physiological birth carries so many benefits for both the mother and her baby, and we know from evidence that the use of interventions has not improved outcomes and in fact, has lead to higher rates of unnecessary inductions, caesarean sections and complications associated with interventions and the layered use of them (aka the cascade of interventions), including high rates of birth trauma.

➡️➡️ swipe and read all of the benefits.

✨Physiological birth is where I shine as a doula! If you want to explore support for your birth in 2025, reach out and let’s see if my support is right for you ✨
