This is a little glimpse into my own practice of nature journaling and slow movement. It’s how I regulate, restore, and prepare to hold space for others.

My guided walks are designed to help you find your own 'medicine' in the bush, supported by over 10 years of clinical experience in a way that feels gentle and grounded.

It’s been a minute, and with a new name and a fresh focus, I thought it was time to share a bit more about the heart behind Coffs Coast Nature Therapy & Support.

I’m Tenille. Most days you’ll find me navigating the beautiful tracks around Coffs with my three kids, probably with a matcha in hand and a backpack full of snacks. 🍵🍪🍎🥨

🎓 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙞𝙩: I’ve spent over 10 years as a social worker, supporting people through the complexities of life. While I love that work, I’ve felt a deep pull to move the conversation outdoors. I’m currently a trainee Forest Therapy Guide, leaning into the power of ‘slow medicine.’
✨ 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙮: I believe nature isn’t just a backdrop for exercise or a pretty photo... it’s a vital partner in our healing and presence. Whether it’s observing the monarch butterflies in my garden or guiding a sensory immersion in the forest, I’m here to help our community slow down and reset.

💚 Today is International Day of Forests, and I can’t think of a more fitting time to share a significant update for my practice.

Over the last few years, my work has evolved deeply into the world of nature-based wellness and clinical support. To reflect this growth and my commitment to our local community, Shizen Kankaku is officially becoming Coffs Coast Nature Therapy & Support.

As I finalise my training as a Forest Therapy Guide with INFTA, I am so excited to offer a more structured way for our community to heal and grow. Whether it’s through 1:1 clinical social work or my new 3-hour immersive group sessions, I am bringing professional, trauma-informed care into the beautiful forests of the Coffs Coast.

What’s new?
✨ Tiered Support: From NDIS Community Access to specialised Therapeutic Social Work.
✨ Group Immersions: 3-hour sessions designed for deep sensory regulation and connection.
✨ Workplace Wellbeing: Bringing forest medicine to local teams and organisations.
