đź’‰ VACCINE ROLLOUT UPDATE
The greatest threat to our community is the growing outbreak of the Delta Strain in Sydney. To protect our community, we must do everything in our power to contain the outbreak in Western Sydney.
Year 12 students in regional areas have been able to attend school and will be able to attend exams in person. We need to ensure year 12 students everywhere in New South Wales are afforded the same opportunity, and not become super-spreaders - which would put our region and our state at further risk.
We are sharing the burden across the state - and that means some appointments for Pfizer will be pushed back in the regions.
The Oxford-AstraZeneca is in abundant supply, and the advice is that it’s safe for all adults.
Also, If you have had your first jab with Pfizer then nothing changes for you.
GP’s allocation of Pfizer isn’t interrupted as their allocation comes directly from the Federal Government.
You will be notified if your appointment is pushed back, otherwise your appointment remains.
People love to talk about “mateship” and the “Australian way” - would we be living up to our ideals if we didn’t extend any help available when people in NSW are in their hour of need?
Ultimately, the Pfizer supply constraints are not a State Government responsibility, but rest with the Prime Minister and Federal Government.
