PARTICIPANTS WANTED FOR TOOTH EXTRACTION COURSE AUGUST 9TH

Mid North Coast Oral Surgery is running a training day for local dentists in the extraction of difficult upper molars.

If your case is suitable for the course you can have the procedure completed by one of the dentists free of charge. The extraction will include a second procedure known as a bone graft or "ridge preservation" to assist in reducing the shrinkage of the area after a tooth is extracted.

All the clinicians on the course are fully qualified and registered dentists who are interested in increasing their skills in removing complicated upper molars.

PLEASE NOTE: Not all cases are suitable to be part of the course. Examples include:
1) all teeth that are not upper molars
2) Patients with dental treatment anxiety or phobia
3) Patients with complex medical conditions
4) Patients in pain now who need treatment sooner than the 9th August
5) Patients not able to tolerate treatment under Local Anaesthetic

If your case is not suitable for the course and you still want to have treatment completed please contact reception (02)66536264 to make a normal appointment with one of our surgeons.

Courses in other types of difficult extractions will be run every 6-12 months, so keep your eye out for other opportunities to participate 🙂

If you are unhappy with your remaining teeth or dentures it is possible to improve the situation by placing dental implants in some cases.

We enjoyed working on this case where there wasn't enough bone to place dental implants initially. A plan was able to be developed which increased the volume of bone to the point where five implants could be placed to support a bridge.

This result is not possible in all cases, but where it is, the results can be truly transformational for patients.
