🧠 Team Trivia Time!

We’re starting something new at Coffs Neuro Physio — Team Trivia.
Why? Because we know that building trust starts with getting to know the people who support you. Our clients often say they love learning little facts about the team, so we thought… let’s make it fun.

So here’s our very first question:

❓ Which Coffs Neuro Physio team member grew up in Italy, speaks multiple languages, and recently completed extra training to support people with vertigo and vestibular conditions?

Hint: He’s known for his calm approach, steady encouragement, and ability to explain even the trickiest exercises in a way that just makes sense.

Pop your answer in the comments below — and keep an eye out for more trivia each month as we help you get to know the faces behind your care.

We are now offering vestibular screening for all new and existing clients aged 60 and over.

Your vestibular (inner ear) system plays a vital role in balance, and like many systems in the body, it changes with age. When vestibular changes go undetected, they can significantly increase the risk of falls and unnecessarily impact quality of life.

Our vestibular screening assesses all main components of the vestibular system, including testing for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). BPPV occurs when tiny crystals in the inner ear become displaced, typically leading to vertigo and imbalance. However, research shows some people WON’T experience vertigo, making screening for this in the context of balance difficulties paramount. When identified, BPPV can usually be treated in clinic within a few sessions.

We also assess eye movements and vestibular reflexes, which are essential for balance and safe movement. If any deficits are identified, we provide targeted, evidence-based rehabilitation exercises to optimise balance, confidence and overall wellbeing.

If you are over 60 and have noticed changes in balance, dizziness, or confidence with walking, a vestibular screen may be an important first step.

Have You Had a Falls Risk Check Recently?

It’s something we don’t talk about often enough, but falls are one of the biggest risks for people living with neurological conditions — and many falls are preventable with the right support.

If you’ve noticed:
• feeling unsteady
• near misses
• difficulty turning or getting out of chairs
• slower reactions
• changes in vision or dizziness
• tripping more often

…it might be time for a balance and falls-risk assessment.

Our Neuro Physios are experienced in identifying the underlying reasons for balance changes and building a plan to help keep you safe, steady, and confident — at home and in the community.

Start the year with clarity, not worry.

Why PD Warrior Works (and Why We’re Proud to Offer It)

If you or someone you love is living with Parkinson’s, you may have heard the phrase exercise is medicine. PD Warrior takes that idea further — using high-effort, Parkinson’s-specific exercise to slow progression and build confidence from day one.

As the only licensed PD Warrior provider in Coffs Harbour, our team delivers the program exactly as it was designed: challenging, evidence-based, and tailored to your stage of Parkinson’s.

PD Warrior helps you:
🧠 Rewire the brain through neuroplasticity
💪 Improve speed, strength, and agility
🧭 Boost confidence in everyday movement
🤝 Stay motivated with a supportive community
🌱 Build habits that make long-term change possible

Before starting the group program, you’ll have a one-on-one assessment with one of our neurological physiotherapists. This ensures your exercises are customised, safe, and targeted to your personal goals.

Interested in learning whether PD Warrior is right for you? Contact us to find out more about our 10 week challenge, starting on 16 February.

💪 Exciting News at Coffs Neuro Physio!

We’re thrilled to introduce our new SaeboFlex Fit Kit! 🙌

Thanks to Performance Health, the Saeboflex Fit Kit allows us to custom build and trial the Saeboflex device with our clients from our very own clinic.

The SaeboFlex is a dynamic hand splint that helps people with neurological injury - like stroke and traumatic brain injury – to open their hand, grasp an object and incorporate their hand and arm functionally in therapy. The Saeboflex supports recovery through repetitive, task-based movement and intensive rehabilitation.

More personalisation. More progress. More independence. 💙

🌟 It’s Time to Start Thinking About Your 2026 Goals 🌟

As we wrap up another year, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on how far you’ve come — and where you’d like to head next.

Goal setting isn’t just about big leaps forward. For many people living with neurological conditions, maintaining what you can do - or slowing the rate of decline - is just as important, and very much a win. Progress looks different for everyone, and every version of it deserves to be recognised.

At Coffs Neuro Physio, we’re here to support the goals that matter to you. Improving movement, building strength, boosting confidence, maintaining independence, or working to preserve your current function — your goals guide the journey, and we walk it with you.

Let’s make 2026 a year defined by meaningful steps, steady progress, and achievements that reflect what’s important to you.
Start now — your future self will thank you.

⚡🚴‍♂️ Keeping Neuro Rehab Future-Focused at Coffs Neuro Physio

In November, our team had the chance to trial two impressive Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) technologies from Restorative Therapies — Xcite2 and the RT300 FES cycle.

Both systems use task-specific electrical stimulation to help drive meaningful, high-repetition practice for people living with neurological conditions — supporting movement retraining, strength, and function.

At Coffs Neuro Physio, we’re committed to constantly educating ourselves, staying up to date with emerging evidence and technology, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. That way, we can stay at the forefront of neuro care — and make sure our clients are always supported with the most informed rehabilitation possible. 💙
