I wasnโt sure if I was up to this today but so glad I went ahead with my Yin n Yummy yoga afternoon. My intention was a dedication of love and gratitude to my Mum. How grateful I am to share the gift of yoga with a beautiful bunch of kind and compassionate women. As always some of the proceeds are donated to charity. Namaste ๐ซถ๐ผ๐๏ธ๐ ๐๏ธ ๐ซถ๐ผ

Many people have been moved to tears as Buddhist monks walk 2,300 miles across America for peace and compassion. The monks are on a 120-day journey called the Walk for Peace, and they are traveling from Fort Worth, Texas to Washington, D.C. People stop and quietly watch them pass by. The tears aren't from sadness, but from the joy of seeing the monks spread kindness to complete strangers.
Out of all the gifts the monks have received along the way, one stands out the most, and it is flowers. In nearly every city, people have given them flowers such as sunflowers, roses, daisies, and orchids. The monks gently place the flowers on their robes as they continue on their journey. These simple gifts travel with them mile after mile.
In a statement, the monks said, "Every flower you give and place on our path silently tells us that the seeds of peace have bloomed in your heart. And seeing that light shine in you, that's the most beautiful gift we could ever receive."

I believe yoga is for everyone and love working with people who are beginners and people at all levels. No fancy pants required and we donโt need to look poised for Instagram shots here.
My focus is on ensuring that there is a suitable practice for everybody so you will be safe and supported and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and mats and props are provided.
Mondays at 10 am class is a Purna style (Purna means complete in Sanskrit so a little bit of everything) gently warming you up and then moving through flow sequences that are easy to follow and suitable for all levels. There is a focus on the breath control (pranayama). Then we stretch and allow time for a relaxation - Savasana
Tuesdays at 9:30 am I offer a Remedial/Gentle class where we modify the practice to allow for injuries and we stretch and use props to assist into the postures safely.
Fridays at 10 am we enjoy a Yin class which is a practice where we are still and hold poses for a few minutes getting into connective tissue and fascia. This s a deeply restorative practice floor based with virtually no contraindications. A great stress reliever.
