š©· Yesterday we walked/ran 5km straight up a very steep mountain and 5km back down. We are training for next yearās Ultra Trail Australia (UTA) held in the Blue Mountains.
š©·Itās still 8 months away, and although Iāve been running, going to the gym and doing Pilates, now is the time to regularly do some very steep hills!
š©· It was tough! Im SO sore today! Every time I looked ahead at the steep hill I felt overwhelmed. You know what got me to the top?
-focusing on a few steps at a time rather than thinking of how far I still had to go
-determination and belief
-training
-and support (my hubby alongside me)
š©· Labour and birth is the same. During pregnancy is when you need your own private midwife; building a partnership of trust and support. Itās the time to mentally and physically prepare for labour and birth. Itās the time to be empowered and know you can (and you will) do hard things. Itās the time to prepare for one step at a time, to be ready for the marathon that is labour and birth. Itās the time to train.
