Our Mission is to enable a fulfilling life for people with disability. We are a local not-for-profit organisation established in 1993.

Any surplus/profits stay local and go directly toward strengthening our local community and improving support for local people with a disability. Our Board is local, our staff are local and all of our money is spent locally, supporting local businesses and local jobs. Chances are you already know someone who uses our services or who works with us.

𝐖𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫! 🎉

At last week’s 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨, we ran our Jelly Bean Guessing Competition and had an absolute blast meeting so many lovely people who stopped by to have a go.
We had guesses ranging from wildly optimistic to very close - and everything in between!

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝟐,𝟕𝟐𝟎!

Our lucky winner will soon be heading home with every single one of them (that’s a lot of sugar!).

CHSS (Coffs Harbour Support Services) currently has a vacancy at our Joyce Street property, which includes SIL support in an SDA-registered home (Basic design category) — ideal for someone with low to moderate support needs.

🎉 A Huge Thank You! 🎉

Last week, CHSS hosted a wonderful fundraising event – The Biggest Morning Tea – and it was a fantastic success! 🫖💛

Our clients and staff came together to enjoy a beautiful morning filled with delicious cakes, treats, and fun games. Thanks to everyone's generosity and enthusiasm, we raised $444.95 in support of a great cause! 🙌

A special shout-out to The Big Banana and The Happy Frog for their amazing prize donations – your support means the world to us! 💚🍌🐸

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who baked and shared their delicious goodies – you made the morning extra sweet! 🧁💕

☀️ Last week's clear weather gave us the perfect excuse to fire up the BBQ and get moving with our Walking and BBQ group!

Our clients had a fantastic time soaking up the sunshine, enjoying great food, beautiful scenery, and — most importantly — great company. 🥰👣🌭

Huge appreciation to the amazing team at our McLean St. SIL house! The dedication, patience, and heart you’ve all shown—especially in supporting this young man’s dreams of independence and stepping into his own version of manhood—has been nothing short of inspiring. 💪✨

A special shout out to Tash Scott—the real MVP! 🙌 Without your support, encouragement, and belief in him, this journey wouldn’t have been possible. Apparently, he’s been cooking independently for Tash for a long time now… 😂🍳🔥

Our Healthy Bites Cooking Group made homemade pizza from scratch, starting with a delicious, homemade pizza base. Everyone got creative and picked their own toppings, and let me tell you, they turned out AMAZING! 🍅🧀🥑 The best part? Each person got to take home their very own pizza for a yummy dinner later. So much fun and so much flavor! 😋

Our story

Coffs Harbour Support Services is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1993 by local families and community members. We are committed to building a Community in which people with disability are valued and contributing members and employ values-aligned, passionate, kind and respectful Support workers - compatible with your individual NDIS goals and personality.

We offer a range of services and supports and innovative activities within the Greater Coffs area. We are committed to the National Standards for Disability Services, which focus on person-centered approaches and promote choice and control by people with disability.

We provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) services to clients in several homes across Coffs Harbour. We work with clients to explore what options are available and how we can assist our clients to live as independently as possible and to meet their goals.

Our Community Participation Program operates Monday to Friday and provides a range of activities such as: Photography and film making, Fishing club, Art and music therapies, Health and fitness, Sport and recreation, Specialist literacy and numeracy skills, Computer skills, ‘Fix it’ club (in partnership with the Coffs Harbour Men’s Shed), The Red Hots Band, Micro-Business program.
