Donation Offering with Alex Greenwood

Body, breath, and mind are intimately connected; a change in one is necessarily expressed in the others. The power of this interaction is such that you can use all three in unison. You can quiet your mind by quieting your breath; you can quiet your breathing by changing your activity. This is a key understanding in the practice of yoga.

The integrated application of all three body, breath, and mind - allows students to change, to outgrow limitations, and realize meaningful goals in their internal development and external lives.

In this practice of hatha yoga, we find the union in ourselves first: between body, mind and soul – and finally, we find balance in our external world as well. We become conscious within ourselves; find the oneness within us and around us.

This 90-minute class weaves mindful breathing (pranayama), conscious movement (asana), and concentrated meditation together to help integrate yoga into our daily lives.

An opportunity to look at your shadow self. And rise from the ashes to meet yourself fully.

It brings the energy to support us going inward. To look at the patterns that hold you back - the ones that keep you small and unseen.
And if you lean in, to rebirth that energy into something you can use for your evolution.

If you feel that pull to invite in change.
Be gentle with yourself.
Be with your breath.
Be raw and honest.
Reflect on the parts of you normally left unseen. The messy bits. That’s the depth that Scorpio wants you to meet.

Journal into the body is here to get what you’re processing in your practice, in your body, out onto paper.
Through breath, movement and shapes you’ll be guided to focus on different areas of the body followed up with journal prompts.
You may notice different areas of the body that correlate to certain emotions or perhaps just catch passing thoughts or insights that are here to be recorded and expressed.
A gentle, intuitive, somatic experience to connect you to the language of your body.

We have a few little changes coming to the Sol timetable.

Sadly we are saying goodbye to our beautiful Shay. She is following her heart as it takes her back to Newcastle… We are really sad to see her go, but we know that this is a move she needs to make in this moment. So if you are also going to miss her - make sure you come join one of her final practices with us, before November 20.
And with that - brings of course some little shifts in our timetable.

Jenna will be taking over Monday 5.45pm Yin from 24/11.

We are also welcoming the beautiful Carly Baldry back to our community. Carly is going to take over Tuesdays Align class 5.45pm from December. She is an amazing yogi and mama and we feel so lucky to have her come share her passion for the practice with us al Sol.

We are also welcoming back the wonderful Julie! She has been on a big journey around Australia and is excited to land home. She will be returning to teaching yin on Thursdays 5.45pm! We feel so lucky to have her back sharing with our community.

We have some beautiful events to see you close out the year feeling supported in slowing down and grounded in your body. You can find the details on our website.

We are proud to accept fitness passport members at The Sol Co.

To join us using your fitness passport membership, follow the below steps.

1. Register your account and accept the waivers by filling out the form on our website under the β€œmemberships tab” bottom of the page.

2. Please forward your active membership card - a scan or photo to hello@thesolcollective.co

We will then add our FP membership to your account and you can start attending classes and booking via mindbody - we will notify you when this has been processed.

All of our classes are included except special events, workshops, and our aerial yoga classes, which you can attend by purchasing a separate pass.

Please note - only 1 class within a 2 hour window is permitted for FP members. Back to back classes can be attended at an additional charge.

We look forward to welcoming you to Sol, to experience the benefits of an intentional practice, rooted in ancient wisdom.
