Cohuna District Hospital (CDH) is committed to providing fair opportunities and access to all staff and community regardless of gender identity.
Gender equality is a human right and will be achieved when women, men and gender diverse people can access and enjoy equal resources and opportunities regardless of gender.
We recognise that gender equality is not only a legal and ethical obligation but a critical driver of organisational performance, workforce sustainability, staff wellbeing, and quality patient care to meet the needs of our community.
To progress this commitment, CDH will consider the needs of women, men and gender diverse people when developing and delivering policies, programs and services that have an impact on the public.
This is to create better and fairer outcomes by making sure all people have equal access to opportunities and resources.

We need to understand more about the lived experiences of women, men and gender diverse people in our community when they access our health services.

Tell your story with Care Opinion.
We believe the best way for care services to improve is for our staff to see the care they provide through the eyes of the people who receive it and their loved ones.
At Care Opinion, your story is feedback written as a brief description of a personal experience of care with a service provider. It usually includes what happened, what you think was good and/or could have been better and how you felt about that experience. Your story can be about you or somebody close to you.
Please share you stories about the Cohuna Residential aged Care today: please go to https://www.careopinion.org.au/opinions?nacs=15625

💊 World Antimicrobial Awareness Week – 18–24 November 🌍
This week we’re raising awareness about the growing issue of antimicrobial resistance — when bacteria, viruses, and fungi no longer respond to the medicines designed to kill them.
We all have a part to play in keeping antibiotics working! 🙌
✅ Only use antibiotics when prescribed by a healthcare professional
✅ Always follow your doctor’s advice
✅ Never share or save leftover antibiotics
Together, we can help protect these life-saving medicines for the future. 💙
