For years, we’ve held this work in Harrisdale, and now, as life shifts and roots deepen, the circle is moving into its next chapter.

This is not therapy. It’s a remembering.

A return to something ancient, where men meet one another without masks, without fixing, without pretending.

This space is open to all men; fathers, stepfathers, uncles, sons, brothers, and grandfathers.

A grounded men’s circle for fathers and men of all ages; honesty, presence, and brotherhood.

Hey Guys,

What an Epic 2025 National Men's Health Gathering with Australian Men's Health Forum.

My first, but not my last. To be welcomed and inspired by other guys who are working with purpose to get all Men within Australia to become better for themselves, families and communities.

To offer my pitch at the first Black Dog Ride Pitch Fest, was an honor, to be put through to the finals was a blessing.

If this amount of Men were dying from Road Trauma, there would be a Kings commission.

But, as it's only Men, nothing gets mentioned. :-(

Tricky topic for public but your input is important to our decision.
(Please understand this question may be being asked of every caller and we just wish to express our concerns of how this may affect male caller's who may be in relationship breakdown or custody issues).
The issue.
Lifeline emergency call line has changed its introduction protocol.

What's happened? What's changed you ask?

We completely understand that phone line operators have start questions and the importance of this during a touch base call.

The issue we are getting feedback about is , males in situational distress/mental health issues call and are now asked an extra question.
The first question is always do you feel like you want to harm yourself.
It used to be yourself or others. (PROTOCOL).
THIS STILL EXSITS. ALWAYS SHOULD.
THIS IS ENOUGH TOUGH. THIS IS THE QUESTION ALONE.

This added second question is ..............
Do you feel like you want to harm or hurt your partner or children.

We are staunch about bringing down the domestic violence rate in our country with funded gender focused services,education and support to our struggling men and boys. We seriously stand by assisting people in situational distress, from all aspects of life will inturn reduce these issues and curb the rise in mental health issues.

Im sorry Lifeline but NO!!!!
7 out of 9 su***des are men and boys struggling with Family and relationship breakdown, loss of access to children or court etc.

Have you taken into consideration the majority of men that are calling to stop taking their own life are calling because they want help through their breakdown????

If a man is having family or relationship issues then our services must build a repore of empathy with this person at first point of contact, rather than adding to the potential self risk to the person involved. This person is calling to get help to save their own life when at their lowest.

Asking men and boys in Australias largest emergency su***de hotline if they feel like they want to hurt women and children.
THESE PEOPLE WILL HANG UP THE PHONE INSTANTLY AND THEY ARE.

7 out of 9 su***des are men and mostly because they have noone to reach out to about their issues.
Lifeline should not be assuming or even asking a suicidal male if they want to hurt others.

IF THEY HAVE MADE THE CALL THEN DO ONE THING.
LISTEN LISTEN LISTEN!!
THIS Type of question should not exist in a service that is ment to be saving the callers life first.

Our services should not be assuming people are going to murder or harm anyone but themselves.
The individual is the focus first always. 💯.
Lifeline this line of questioning is wrong.
Men are calling to be supported and assisted same as anyone else.
They don't need to hear that while they are already at their worst.
This is Paulo .
No male or female wants to see domestic violence happen to anyone!!!!
But all males and females,believe men and boys should be able to reach out for help without judgement 🙃.
Please remember join in and have your say and input.
But we don't bring down women, men or anyone in this positive change to save life.
This is about lifeline and the added question.
Nothing more so please don't argue or put people down. It would suck if we had to pull this post.
