Want your practice to be the top-listed Clinic?
Want to join a yoga class but feel frustration or discomfort in the mainstream classes? For women over 45, this gentle, safe, non competitive yoga class could be your answer.
Especially designed for women who recognise their body/minds are not as young as they used to be, or who may have physical restrictions &/or stress related issues. If you have some experience in yoga, and you just want to escape the body conscious environment of yoga, this class is friendly, non-competitive, compassionate. A typical class includes gentle Postures, Breathwork, Meditation and Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation). Often incorporated into a class are the deeper practices of mudras, bandhas, chanting, and yoga philosophy and such practices which help us towards a contented, healthy life.
Lesley Goldacre, has practiced yoga and completed all of her training carrying permanent injuries. She has a deep understanding of the modifications necessary enable practicing yoga whilst avoiding injury, and of the deep benefits of the practices to improve existing injuries whether physical, emotional or mental. All practices are modified to suit the needs of the individual student. She has over 40 years of yoga practice in the major styles of yoga and holds a 1400 hour Diploma of Satyananda Yoga Teaching. She has 12 years teaching experience.
The class is held at the lovely Austinmer Uniting Church Hall, in Moore Lane. You are asked to bring a thick yoga mat, a thick cushion or two, and a warm shawl in winter to keep warm during meditation and yoga nidra.
