Ok Cat is out of the bag now.
Can’t wait until it gets its new stickers
Trying to make life easier for those in wheelchairs to get around. It is fully decked out with a hoist to get in and out.
Now to figure out where it is going to live.

We’re super excited to share that Outta the Box Support Services (OBSS) has just opened a freshly renovated Short-Term Respite house in Collie – and it’s ready to welcome participants!

Here’s a little snapshot of what’s on offer at our Collie house:

🏡 2 cosy, freshly renovated participant bedrooms
🎨 Craft, games & creative activities
🌱 A veggie patch project (plant, water & harvest together)
🍳 Fun cooking lessons & shared meals
🤝 Plenty of opportunities to get out & about in the community (cafés, shops, events, parks)

When? Weekdays or weekends – overnight or a couple of days. Each stay is tailored around the participant’s goals and interests.

Supports:

✔ 1:1 or 1:2 staffing (depending on needs)

✔ Medication assistance if required

✔ Friendly, experienced staff who love what they do

❗ While the Collie house isn’t wheelchair accessible, we’re also able to provide respite at other suitable locations to ensure all participants can enjoy a safe and comfortable stay.

We’d love to welcome new participants for a break that’s supportive, fun, and goal-focused. If you’d like to chat about whether this might suit someone on your caseload, please get in touch.
