Just completed a course on accelerated rehab for medial knee (MCL) injuries
Here are a few key things patients should know:
• Not all knee ligament injuries need long periods of rest — the right loading early on is essential for healing
• Bracing and controlled weight-bearing can help protect the ligament while it recovers
• Some discomfort during movements like changing direction can be normal as long as stability is improving
• Strengthening (especially quads + hamstrings) plays a huge role in recovery
• Return to sport isn’t just about time — it’s about function, stability, and confidence
The goal?
Protect → restore movement → rebuild strength → return to what you love
If you’ve had a recent knee injury or ongoing pain, getting the right rehab plan early can make all the difference.

Neck pain at work? Here are some desk setup tips
Screen at eye level so you’re not looking down and straining your neck
Feet flat on the floor (or on a footrest) to support good posture
Hips slightly higher than knees to reduce pressure on your lower back
Keyboard and mouse close to your body to avoid reaching and shoulder tension
Take regular movement breaks (every 30–60 mins)

Ice or heat — when should you use each?
Ice helps reduce inflammation and can calm pain.
It’s great for recent injuries when there is swelling and inflammation.
How: 10–20 minutes, 1–2 times a day. Always place a cloth between the ice and your skin.
Heat helps relax muscles and improve blood flow.
It’s great when muscles feel tight or stiff, or when pain is long-standing or chronic.
How: 10–20 minutes, comfortably warm — not hot.
When NOT to use either:
• Numbness or reduced sensation
• Broken skin
• If you’re unsure — get advice first
