We love the outdoor adventurous spirit of our Norwegian friends. After arriving in Voss and being welcomed with homemade bread and jam, we were soon hiking up a mountain to see the spectacular fjords. A huge storm had hit a few days before, so trees were down and the ground was covered in pine needles, making the whole climb feel wild and a bit treacherous. We met some fellow travelers on top of the mountain. We cooked a delicious meal, shared coffee, foraged mushrooms and played with a drone.

I wasn’t sure if the kids would make it, but they did, and it became one of those days you remember forever. ❤️

Part one 💫 Popping up 350km above the Arctic Circle in Tromsø Norway 🇳🇴 We were lucky to have the best Northern lights season in 20 years! The lights started a journey 150 million kilometres away in space 💫 I did a tour chasing the Northern lights across borders to Finland in the middle of the night. It was very exciting ! The photos look fake! We were lucky to even see some from our Airbnb. It was also the kids first time seeing snow ❄️ 🤗
Tom did a Fjord fishing tour and Ted and I went whale watching up to Skervoy on a rocky ship 🐋❄️🌈 whales, rainbows in the snow and magnificent scenery. We love Norway 🇳🇴 So many things ticked off our bucket list ✅ can’t wait to visit again ❤️

Loving the cosy rainy autumn vibes here in Bergen 🌧️ 🇳🇴 The rainiest city in Europe I have been told.

As they also say in Norway “there is no bad weather, only bad clothes.” So we have definitely started upgrading to warmer waterproof everything! As we are getting ready to fly above the Arctic Circle to tick off some lifelong dreams seeing orcas in the wild and the northern lights ✨
So lucky we found the best op shop in Bergen 🤍 So we’ll be nice and toasty when we head up to Tromsø ☃️ 🇳🇴 🫎🦭

This month, we honour and support every person and family impacted by infertility. Your story is important, your pain is valid & your strength is recognised.

Infertility is often misunderstood. It can come with unsolicited advice, invalidation from loved ones or care providers, and an invisible mental load that feels impossible to carry. It can be emotionally and physically draining, financially overwhelming, and deeply isolating.

For many, the journey is compounded by heteronormative narratives of family-building, which frequently exclude those pursuing nontraditional paths.

No platitudes today. Just a quiet acknowledgment of what you hold in silence, and of how much goes unseen.

The cold has come to Australia, and with it, Hyggelig evenings filled with soft lighting, hearty meals, warm soups, cosy blankets, candlelit nights, and the quiet happiness of being home. 🕯️
