Relax, stretch and nurture with these floor based yin asanas designed to open your joints particularly your hips, pelvis and lower back, those areas of the body that tighten as we age. A calming, grounding practice, counteracting all stress and bringing back your vitality. SLOW FLOW - mixed levels / Calm and ground with this slow flow, working and stretching every part of your body, invigorating plus nurturing, balancing your energy and bringing back your vitality. Surely you will come out of class feeling soothed, bringing with you clarity of heart, mind and soul. TIPS TO HELP & HEAL KNEES 🌻
Here is lovely Mariko who was one of our veda trained teachers, standing in a Half Moon Pose (Ardha Chandrasana). This asana strengthens your quads and stretches your hamstrings to help & heal knees

As with all joints keep your knee joints moving and open

Correct any foot misalignment... keep ankles upright not rolling in or out. Knee problems can often be solved by correcting feet alignment.

Always line knee up with the toes in standing asanas, plus in lunges and squats.

Feet evenly balanced on all four corners & active feet in all asanas

Strengthen hamstrings & stretch & strengthen quads

Standing poses, chair poses & bridge pose

Avoid walking on uneven ground

Avoid diets that affect our joints (diets with too much acid and protein)

Hi yogis 🀸🌻Let our yoga asana practice help us improve the balanced working of all the muscles and systems throughout our bodies helping maintain and improve our overall health and well being.
In our often busy lives we become a bit disconnected from these bodies and don't take enough care of them. Various pains and problems can start occuring within our bodies.
Stay a little more connected with some yoga asana practice and address those areas that you soon learn need addressing.
Lets stay healthier and more mobile with some yoga asanas.

Hi yogis 🀸🌻 make room for your morning yoga / A VITAL PRACTICE / yoga asanas stretch our tight bodies, preparing us for all movement throughout the day. For those of us that sit at a desk, yoga poses in the morning counter those hours we spend sedentary. Yoga increases flexibility throughout our spine, hips & shoulders. and encourages better posture. The poses we hold when we first wake up, will set our muscle memory into effect for standing taller and moving easier as the day progresses.

The lymphatic system is the immune system's river. It doesn't have a pumping system of it's own. It is totally dependent on our breathing and muscle activity. Get that lymph river in a full strong flow to keep the body clean and pretty lean.

A comment made recently by a student... I love your studio for many reasons. You are all very unique and all genuine. And truthfully you all remind me how much I miss teaching and creating a positive part of peoples day even if for the time they are there . It's hard to find a studio that you can walk into and know that the person we give our money to is not there for themselves but for us . Trust
