Wow, it seems like we have done more Flu Vaccines than ever before. The demand is tapering off now but there are still some left in the fridge if you have missed out.
COVID boosters can still be accessed from your favourite chemist.

Lots of changes happening all at once.

eScripts are now available. These are sent straight to your phone as an alternative to printing out on paper. No more lost scripts.
Conditions apply: the items must be within the standard drug database to be available on eScript.
If you have an arrangement with your doctor to be sent a script then you will not need to come in and collect it.

Speak to your doctor about an eScript before she prints the script.

Telephone consultations.
Over-the-phone consultations were brought in by Medicare over the COVID period, allowing for isolation and reducing exposure to viruses.

As of January these are only covered by medicare for those who are actually nome, sick with COVID 19 infection.

We can still consult over the phone outside medicare but this would entail a fee and there is no rebate back on it, so most people will need to come back to regular consults at the surgery.

COVID vaccinations.
Heard on the radio today that anyone who hasn't received a vaccine or had actual COVID infection in the past 6 months will be able to get a booster before winter, regardless of how many doses they have had.
Pharmacies will be providing the boosters.

We are taking a short break this week but will be open again on Tuesday. Have a safe and happy week. Be healthy and enjoy good relationships

2022 Flu vaccination has started.

We have landed our first batch of over 65 influenza vaccines.
You must have a gap of one week between this and any COVID boosters. The newly announced 4th dose of Covid vaccination (over 65) is four months after your third (booster) dose

Online appointments. We are still open. We have limited the online bookings over difficulties in screening patients with active coughs and fevers. We want everyone to feel safe coming to get medical help. If you can't get an appointment online, please ring through and we will try to get you a booking.

Congratulations everybody for getting WA double dose over 80 percent.

The fight is not over and the third “booster” dose will give further protection when the borders open on Feb 5.
Whatever you had for dose 1 & 2, you can receive dose 3 as Pfizer, Moderna or Astra.

From today, January 4, the interval from dose 2 to the Booster dose 3 is 4 months.

Although we won’t be handling these vaccines our friends next door at 777 Grange Pharmacy have all vaccines in stock and are ready to take your bookings.

Stay well, all our patients.

It's not too late to join this fabulous fundraiser.

Dry July is a fundraiser that encourages you to go alcohol-free in July to raise funds for people affected by cancer.

The funds you raise as part of your Dry July will provide invaluable services for cancer patients, their families and carers – whether it’s a lift to a life-saving appointment, guidance from a specialist nurse, connection to an informative voice, access to therapy programs or a bed close to treatment.

Having a month off alcohol also has great health benefits, such as sleeping better, having more energy and of course, no hangovers! So you're not only helping others, you're helping yourself. It's a win-win!

Go Dry this July and help raise funds for people affected by cancer.
