Sol Equus - Σᛖᛉ Experiential Learning/development incorporating horses, animals, nature- SEQld. This a natural and gentle way to facilitate change.

Skills for Embodied Awareness, managing mental health, change, challenges, more. 1:1 & Groups: selfcare, leadership, social/emotional intelligence, mindfulness. Sol Equus offers individuals/groups tailored development for your unique goals or growth. This can be through self awareness; insight; skills to encourage growth or reach your goals; manage challenges, mental health and changes. Sessions can be either structured, unstructured or a series depending on your needs, type of self inquiry exploration and or growth areas, Because change occurs naturally through awareness, Sol Equus provides opportunity for experiential learning as a way to harness Embodied Awareness through process work and a Gestalt psychotherapy model. Safe relationships, co-regulation, biofeedback, education and more are available from horses, animal and nature to support you in the process.

Today, Valentine's Day, is traditionally about love: While many celebrate love every day, today I'm particularly mindful of how the animals in my life prefer to be approached, treated, respected and communicated with. I am reflecting on how I honour their ways every day and today. ~Many horses generally don't like touch or being over- handled. ~Sonita is very open to touch and enjoys pats, rubs, strokes and asks for her head and face to be touched or puts her cheek on my cheek or face on my face. She rarely says No to being touched.
~Valeta has strong boundaries around touch and her lack of consent for touch is evident when she walks away, turns her body away or rubs herself on a tree even though I offer her a brush. She does this most days and most opportunities so i need to respect her her independence in personal grooming and bodily autonomy- I invite you to think about love towards the animals in your life and what their preferences and needs are, including their species specific needs and behaviours. 💜🎉❤️🐴

~Invitation~ Sonita and Valeta have been inviting me to relax with them at their favourite tree a lot lately. It's summer, it's hot but it's also an offer of inclusively, of respect, trust and connection..they are offering me a space in the herd to sit, breathe, relax and be present.

Valeta- yesterday we made a game running around an obstacle course together. Valeta of course is faster than me so after she let me win for some time she changed the rules. When she wins she gets to throw cones and markers! Reminds me of school and making up games as you go along just for the fun of it. For those that have met Valeta you will know how much she loves games, choosing what happens, and kisses!
