ASL is proud to have some wonderfully dedicated staff who have been around for years or even decades. One such staff member is physiotherapist Julie Rogers who was recently recognised by her peers. Julie's story was published in the flagship Australian Physiotherapy Association online and print magazine 'In Motion' which connects physiotherapists across Australia and highlights items of professional interest.

It’s April falls prevention month and we are wearing crazy socks to highlight the importance of staying on your feet. The benefits of falls prevention for residents are many and include improved quality of life and independence; avoiding serious injury and premature decline. Our ASL physio’s and OT’s have been busy this week with resident falls prevention information sessions that cover things like the environment, vision, hydration, footwear, asking for assistance, using mobility aids etc. This along with the clinical teams focus helps us all work together for best resident outcomes and we are very proud of that!
