It’s good to be back. We had a busy little round table this week. In fact, 90% of the time this is what our wise old table holds.. the experimenting, tinkering, mixing, mess, paint and off cuts, and so many experiences and stories. Creating is as much of a process as the therapy.

The latest Price Guide was released this week. Arts Therapy continues to be a funded therapeutic support with no changes from 1 July. HOORAY! 🎉

Of note, Art Therapist is classified as ‘a person who is a Professional Member with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapy Association.’ We are proudly operating as Professional Members with which requires Masters Degree qualification and numerous ongoing requirements to maintain registration.

While we continue to support NDIS participants, we are seeing on the ground a very unpredictable story at review times. Much kindness to those who are being significantly impacted ❤️

Arts Therapy services for NDIS participants is still funded under current arrangements. Please refer to information below regarding latest detail if you are experiencing difficulties with payment of invoices:

1) The latest NDIS provider support newsletter released 19 March included an update on Arts Therapy, stating "If you are a plan manager dealing with art and music therapy supports, we want to confirm that there are no changes to what participants and providers can claim for these supports under the NDIS".

2) You can refer to the latest public announcement that the Independent review has been delayed and services continue as normal - Link https://www.ndis.gov.au/news/10644-review-music-and-art-therapy-update

3) ANZACATA (professional body for Arts Therapists) have prepared a one-pager outlining how to check invoices from Arts Therapists.

The independent review into NDIS pricing for music and art supports is being extended to allow time to appropriately consider all submissions.
