Sadly I've treated a lot of locals over the years who've been injured by poorly trained dry needling practitioners. And many many more who think acupuncture is painful because of the way a dry needling practitioner has performed acupuncture on them.

You deserve better.

All sorts of stuff can go wrong with shoulders.

The muscles supporting this fragile joint cross in many places. And they need to function in a balanced way for the shoulder to do its thing properly without pain or loss of movement.

I've treated A LOT of shoulders over the past 25 years. So seeing what I can do to improve yours is an option πŸ™‚

Surgery's very traumatic on the body, & not the quick fix many perceive it to be. The recovery period involves all sorts of treatments & exercises too... so I happily work as part of your care team in those cases where it really is necessary.

🎺 Evil Bone Water is now available for purchase in the clinic 🎺

It's a premium version of the Zheng Gu Shui many of you have been loving for many years ("the bone & ligament pain liniment").

Made in small batches with high quality ingredients by a small business, it's also stored in amber glass to ensure freshness.

As always, spray tops & the special liniment applicator bottles are available to ensure ease of use at home πŸ™‚

Neurocognitive symptoms associated with POTS are becoming better understood thanks to ongoing research - much of it led by Australian healthcare professionals πŸ™‚

A fabulous new study driven by key volunteers from the POTS Foundation including Scientific chair Celine and our CEO Marie-Claire Seeley shows a strikingly high prevalence of cerebral hypoperfusion (61%) was observed, which aligns with the frequent reporting of neurocognitive symptoms in individuals with POTS.

Congratulations to the team who work tirelessly to shine a light on POTS.

A last minute acupuncture appointment's just become AVAILABLE TOMORROW - best booked online as I'm just finishing work for the day so won't be checking messages etc

πŸ“Œ yes, I know there's a spelling error in the meme. No, I don't know if the creator Word P**n included it deliberately to create drama... so I'll just go drink another glass of water...

Do you know a young person whose chronic health issues lead to frequently missing school/uni?

πŸ“’ Calling all parents and young people with POTS! πŸŽ“πŸ“Š

There is no government data on how many children and young people miss or withdraw from school and University due to chronic illness, and no specific data on how POTS affects school attendance.

The Australian POTS Foundation has launched an anonymous community survey to understand the impact of POTS on school and university attendance.

πŸ“ Who can take part?

Carers of adolescents with POTS.
Young adults up to approx. 25 years old who are currently of school or university age.
Even if you are managing POTS well and attending school full-time, your response is important!
πŸ’‘ Why does it matter?
Your insights will help inform government, health, and education policy advocacy to improve support for students with POTS.

We currently have 4 surveys open and all can be found here:
πŸ“… The survey takes just 10 minutes and is completely anonymous.

Your voice matters! Please share and help us capture the true impact of POTS on education.

Living with chronic pain isn't just a physical thing. It drains a person on every level.

Does your care team include a Registered Acupuncturist yet?

I'm always happy to discuss with you how acupuncture works.

There's a heck of a lot more benefits (& less discomfort) than the dry needling a physio or massage therapist may offer.

πŸ“Œ JB Acupuncture doesn't have a receptionist, so please leave a message if the phone's unanswered when you call. Or send an email to start the conversation.

πŸ“Œ privacy of Messenger is dubious when it comes to discussing personal medical issues, so phone/email are recommended
