As promised.......tada! With great pride, excitement and a little bit of sadness, I present to you my new business name and logo.......Feminine Alchemy 🔥✨
I have mixed feelings about moving forward. It means change.....a shedding of the old to step into the new. Although the process began a while ago, today I officially walk through the flames and claim my new role on all levels.
While Elemental Bodywork and Doula Services has held me since I opened up the doors to my business over 8 years ago. It has allowed me to slowly morph into and accept who I am today. I'm not going to lie, the growth has been painful. It got so dark sometimes that I thought that I would never find my way back again. Facing all the parts of you....... the good, the bad and the downright ugly is terrifying. As women though, we walk many times through the flames so to speak, and become better, wiser, stronger and deeper human beings because of it.
I am ready to accept my role as a healer and facilitator in your personal growth. I am by no means perfect. My journey to heal myself is an ongoing one. No, I don't have all the answers, but together we can alchemise the things that aren't going terribly well in our lives and turn them into something beautiful. The things that are going well can be made even more beautiful!
Feminine Alchemy is about moving through the discomfort and turning things into something better, more powerful. It's about reclaiming your own personal power in a patriarchal society that has taught us to deny most of our feminine superpowers. Let's get back to our true roots and work the feminine way. Embrace other women and lift them up, work and live with our cycles and flow, celebrate our own femininity, step into and own our sexuality without the shame and guilt. It's about celebrating who we are as women and all the different stages and rites of passage that we go through. It is about creating ceremony and community. Hopefully, creating the community that we are proud to be a part of and want our children to grow up in.
I can't change what is going on in the world at the moment, but I can sure as hell ensure that the women around me, within my community, are respected, held, seen, cared for, nurtured, loved and are treated like the Goddesses that they truly are.
It is about embracing my South American cultural roots and going back to simple and natural medicine. I grew up in a household where my Mum, at the sight of a tiny symptom of being unwell, Mum would be out foraging in the backyard for herbs to make tea with. She would use things like onion juice, garlic, lemon and honey to treat colds. If we had an upset tummy, Mum would give us herbs in tea form. I know that these things are basic, but why not go back to simplicity.
It's about embracing our sovereignty and being responsible for our own personal health and well-being. I am still a work in progress with this part (as with all parts really). I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's disease last year. I know all the foods and drinks that make me unwell and I know all the things that I should be doing, but sometimes that chocolate biscuit is just too damn good not to eat. Sometimes it's just easier to not not do all the things, but then I end up having flare-ups, which can be debilitating. So, my point is that taking responsibility for ourselves in all areas is not easy. It takes more of our time and does carry a bigger mental load, but the effort and the outcomes are definitely worth it.
Moving forward, things are going to be a little clunky as I fumble my way through all the technology and all the updating and consolidating things in the back end and behind the scenes. Please be patient with me 🙏. If you come across any issues on any of the platforms that I am using, please let me know. My website is also now live. I am happy to take any ideas or constructive criticism. At present, it is pretty basic, but I will continue to add things to it as I go along.
Thank you all so very much for all of your support over the years. It really means a great deal to me. It is with gratitude for you all that I move forward with courage and determination to be the very best that I can be in whatever role you choose for me along your journey.
After over 8 years of serving in Margaret River town, I have had to make the move to Cowaramup. I hope that I can have your continued support, despite the location change. I am only about 11 minutes away from Marg's town. I would love to see you in my new studio in the back of the Flow Gallery at the amazing Edwards Winery.
You can still book from this page on the Bookings button, you can now book from my website or you can contact me on 0414411975. I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have.
With lots of Love
Marcela 🌸🩷
