Cooking workshops are back!!! 💗👩🍳
On Sunday I travelled to Orange for the first Ayurvedic Autumn Cooking Immersion of this season.
Through this hands-on cooking experience, we unpacked practical life tools and simple daily practices, and cooked a range of delicious and nourishing autumn recipes to bring balance at this time of year.
Autumn brings the qualities of dryness, lightness and change. This shows up as dry skin, dry hair, dry joints, variable digestion including bloating, constipation, and gas, coldness, restless sleep, and a mind that feels scattered or unsettled.
What we explored together was how simple shifts in the kitchen can soften all of that. Warm, cooked meals, gentle spices, good oils, and a slower, more intentional way of preparing food.
The women who came were incredible! Open, engaged and completely all-in. There was such a willingness to learn, to try something new, and to reflect on what their own bodies are asking for right now.
The takeaway’s were simple.
To eat more warm, nourishing meals.
To support digestion rather than override it.
To align themselves with the rhythms of nature.
And most importantly, that it actually can be both delicious and simple and still make a big difference.
such a fabulous day. My next immersion is this Thursday in Wagga. There’s two spots remaining if you’d like to join this empowering autumn immersion. The link is in the bio.
A special thank you to Nathan and to my husband Johnny for being the best dish pig and runner ever 🫶
