🌸 Mother’s Day at Weeroona 🌸
Our residents and their families braved the cooler weather on Friday, 8th May, to enjoy a beautiful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea in our Waratah Courtyard.
The afternoon was made even more special with live music from Becki Brown, a lovely high tea spread prepared by our Kitchen Team, led by Meg, and a beautifully decorated setting by our Lifestyle Coordinator, Nikkara.
We would also like to thank Cowra Hire for kindly providing gas heaters for the afternoon tea, helping us make the courtyard setting more welcoming despite the cooler weather.
A big thank you also goes to Dave Bartlett from our Maintenance Team for setting up the marquees and ensuring the courtyard was ready for the event.
Our Mother’s Day raffle, kindly supplied by Heids Hampers, was won by our Cook, Sonya. Congratulations, Sonya!
On Saturday, 9th May, residents were treated to a warm and cozy indoor acoustic performance by Abhishek Nair, which was enjoyed by all.
Sunday brought our Mother’s Day gift delivery, with all of our ladies receiving thoughtful gifts to mark the occasion. We also shared a beautiful Mother’s Day cake, kindly baked for us by Mick’s Local Bakery, with the final touches added by Nikkara.
To finish the weekend, we received a very special surprise delivery of flowers from Designed to Bloom. Ella generously donated flowers for residents who may not have had family present on the day, bringing smiles and warmth to many.
