I’ve always been open to what the universe has to offer. The unseen, the mystical, and the possibilities beyond what we’re taught to believe.
Growing up in a Christian family, I deeply believed in a higher power (God and Jesus), and in the presence of angels and the devil etc. But even as a teenager, I sensed there was more, something broader, more expansive.
In my early twenties, I was introduced to oracle cards, fairies, and other magical, mystical realms through a friend.
That’s when my spirituality truly began to expand. It felt like remembering something ancient within me.
I was eager to read, watch, and listen. To learn about these ‘things’, these beings, that were once spoken of in fairytales, stories, or born from imagination.
It’s taken over a decade to find peace in walking a spiritual path that doesn’t fit neatly inside one belief system.
For a long time, I felt like I was “cheating” on my Christian upbringing. But I’ve come to realise that all faiths, in their own essence, point to the same thing: a connection to something greater. A source of love, wisdom, and truth.
This journey has been one of deep unlearning of limitations but also a great remembering. And I’m grateful for every step so far.
If I were to put a name to my beliefs… I’m not sure there’s a single word, or even two. Maybe open-faith. Or simply, open-minded.
I feel like I’ve come so far, yet there’s still so much to discover.
I still have the same faith in God, Angels and a lot of the biblical chapters of the bible, but I choose to more open about new paradigms, old forgotten rituals and the benefits of being an optimistic being simply trying to re-member my mission in life.
This is my reminder for you…
It’s ok to adapt, to change, to grow and even to change your beliefs as you find your own form of remembering.
