We recently held our local Consumer Advisory Body Meeting for 2026 with our wonderful members, bringing together participants, representatives and an office representative to share genuine feedback and ideas about the services you receive from your provider💬
We understand that Consumer Advisory Body Meetings may be new for many. These meetings are an important way for us to hear what’s working well, where we can improve and to stay connected on changes that impact those accessing our services. They also support a clear and streamlined communication pathway between our service, aged care workers, approved providers and governing bodies.
Thanks to the valuable feedback shared across our meetings, we’ve already been able to introduce several improvements across our local service including a quarterly community newsletter, enhanced training and service quality for our aged care workers delivering your services, clearer financial statement support for participants and a broader network of referrals to local programs that many may not have been aware of outside the Home Care Program.
Held twice a year, these meetings provide a collective voice for participants and their families—whether you’re sharing your own experience or advocating for others. We always welcome new and returning members and encourage participants and family members to join us at our next meeting later in the year. Meeting minutes and resources are shared with all participants including non- members, ensuring everyone is kept informed and up to date.
