We recently held our local Consumer Advisory Body Meeting for 2026 with our wonderful members, bringing together participants, representatives and an office representative to share genuine feedback and ideas about the services you receive from your provider💬

We understand that Consumer Advisory Body Meetings may be new for many. These meetings are an important way for us to hear what’s working well, where we can improve and to stay connected on changes that impact those accessing our services. They also support a clear and streamlined communication pathway between our service, aged care workers, approved providers and governing bodies.

Thanks to the valuable feedback shared across our meetings, we’ve already been able to introduce several improvements across our local service including a quarterly community newsletter, enhanced training and service quality for our aged care workers delivering your services, clearer financial statement support for participants and a broader network of referrals to local programs that many may not have been aware of outside the Home Care Program.

Held twice a year, these meetings provide a collective voice for participants and their families—whether you’re sharing your own experience or advocating for others. We always welcome new and returning members and encourage participants and family members to join us at our next meeting later in the year. Meeting minutes and resources are shared with all participants including non- members, ensuring everyone is kept informed and up to date.

To learn more about Consumer Advisory Body meetings, visit the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission website.

Occupational Therapy plays an important role in how a network of allied health professionals can support participants to live safely and independently at home.
At Senior Helpers Casey, we are fortunate to partner alongside incredible local services such as Rene and Pip from Mobile OT, who play a vital role in supporting our participants in their homes by:

• Adapting Living Spaces: Ensuring each home is safe, accessible, and tailored to the participant’s needs through recommendations for minor home modifications and assistive technology.

• Building Independence: Working one-on-one with participants to build confidence and skills in their daily routines, both at home and in the community.

• Expert Support: Providing seamless collaboration with other suppliers and our care partners, along with tailored reports that include recommendations and strategies to guide our team in supporting participants in the home and community.

From the home to the community, we are incredibly grateful for the passion and expertise they bring to our participants and our service. Their personalised support helps ensure a holistic and person-centered approach to the care we provide.

If you are looking for an Occupational Therapy assessment through your Support at Home funding, contact us today and we can connect you with our trusted partners in Occupational Therapy like Pip and Rene.

Here are 3 tips for early detection:

Our partnerships with allied health services are the key to ensuring you receive holistic care straight to your home by trusted local experts

Strong partnerships are built on trust and shared standards of care.

We’re grateful to receive this kind feedback from the office team at Senior Helpers Casey, who shared their positive experience with our SAH massages and corporate wellness day. It means a great deal to know our communication, organisation, and the professionalism of our therapists are making a meaningful difference for both their team and the clients they support. We truly value this partnership and the confidence they place in us.

Would you like to bring the same level of care and professionalism to your organisation? Contact us today.

Confidence and safety don't have a retirement age.

Maintaining independence is about feeling secure in your own home and out in the community. Whether you're pottering in the garden or heading down to the local shops, a personal alarm provides that vital link to help if you ever need it.

It’s about peace of mind for you and a bit of extra reassurance for the family.

If you wish to explore options of implementing confidence with a Personal Alarms through your Support at Home funding with many options like SureSafe, Live Life Alarms or MEPACS, contact Senior Helpers Casey today to support you finding the right fit for you at low cost.
