Lately I have been referring to a significant number of new patient cases as "isolation feet".
As activity levels rise across the country it is important that we remember to ready ourselves for an injury-free sporting revival.
Here are a few tips to help reduce your risk:
#1 Check your footwear for signs of uneven wear and ensure correct lacing is performed
#2 Preactivate muscles and ensure joints are well mobilized
#3 Gradual. Gradual. Gradual. Deconditioning shouldn't be ignored. Avoid trying to replicate exertion levels that you were familiar with pre-isolation.

If you are unsure or in need of guidance with return to running, correct foot wear choices, optimising strength and performance or simply want foot and lower limb advice contact the clinic through our page.
Remember have fun and enjoy the restrictions being lifted from week to week.

Amidst this worldwide pandemic the Podiatry profession remains diligent and committed in its delivery of service to the at-risk community.

The burden of Comorbidities such as Diabetes Mellitus on the medical field has and will remain significant despite the ever changing COVID 19 crisis.

In this we establish the importance of the allied health profession as we engage on a daily basis with an at risk population and where we can prevent we do so.

Myself and wider Podiatric community understand and practice strict hygienic techniques and maintain a clinical space with sterility protocols of the highest order.

Joshua Khoury Podiatry will continue to serve the community where necessary through these trying times.

Load tolerance is an important component in the treatment of sporting and movement related injuries especially when we consider tissue versatility and long-term resilience.

At J. Khoury Podiatry we trust ourselves to reduce pain and challenge ourselves to improve overall functional strength. All too often we see common conditions like plantar fasciitis, achilles pain and ankle sprains return multiple times in a patient’s life. This is often because the proper rehabilitation has either not been done effectively or hasn't been done at all.

Don't cheat yourself of a complete treatment program. Health and well-being is paramount and longevity should always be the goal.
