Dr Stephen Ward has relocated to Our Medical Cranbourne located at 32-36 Remount Way, Cranbourne West.

Dr Ward is available for bulk billed GP consults, without the need for an appointment during the following times:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm
Tuesday from 11:00am to 7.00pm
Alternate Saturdays 8:30am to 4:30pm

For ease of check-in, patients should download the 'Our Medical' app and register as a patient before coming into the centre. Dr Ward’s current patient should register on the Our Medical app as an existing patient.

Please note that Dr Ward will be away 04/11/23 - 12/11/23.
We have another GP filling in during the week but there will be limited availability, as well as the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday.
Please book in for next week if you need to see Dr Ward before he leaves or please organise any scripts you may need.

Just to let friends of LAMC know Caitlin is riding the tandem bike with her stroker Jessica Gallagher at the World Championships in Glascow.
It is great news to announce that Caitlin & Jess won silver in the 1000m time trial missing gold by 0.06 seconds. An amazing effort under adversity, now time for the sprints. Go Aussie!

A cruel 0.060 seconds separated them from a rainbow dream, but Jessica Gallagher and pilot Caitlin Ward rode a race to be proud of❣️

They secure our second medal of these UCI Cycling World Championships.

June is bowel cancer awareness month!

Eligible Australians aged 50 to 74 are mailed a free bowel screening test done at home every 2 years.
Call the National Cancer Screening Register on 1800 627 701 if you don't know when you're due, need to update your address or to order a replacement kit.

Are you aged 50-74?

Here are four simple steps that could save your life:

✅Receive your bowel screening test in the mail once every two years

✅Do your test

✅Post your test

✅Receive a letter with your results within 4 weeks



Don’t put off your bowel screening test.

Medicare has put limitations on the use of telehealth in General Practice, as well as restricting the duration of telehealth consults. Telehealth is not a solution to avoiding your GP. Receptionists are working under the direction of Dr Ward, management, and Medicare guidelines. We have had an increase in patient demands and expectations, with our reception staff faced with backlash over ethical encounters where a face-to-face consult is either required or highly suggested. We work to make the day easier for Dr Ward, so he can help patients as best as he can. Please do not argue with us or be verbally abusive, we will not tolerate this behaviour.
Telehealth can take the same time and work as a face-to-face appointment. We often fit these in as time allows, based on clinical urgency and how the day is booked. We can not cater for every request we receive on the day. Dr Ward works 12-hour days and does need time away from the clinic.
We endeavour to remain a bulk-billed clinic where over 2 in 3 clinics are relinquishing this and introducing private fees. For this to remain, we need mutual respect. We want to use this platform as an education opportunity for our patients and for the hope that you can understand the job we do and respect that not all expectations can be met accordingly.
