Casey Community Health and Wellbeing Hub Ltd (Casey Hub) (ACN 667 192 010) is a company limited by guarantee established for charitable purposes. It is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) with Donor Gift Recipient endorsement, i.e. Casey Hub’s main charitable object as an Islamic humanitarian body is to relieve the physical or psychological suffering of persons in need in any part of the world. Casey Hub aims to provide relief in accordance with the tenets of Islam based on the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The specific charitable purpose of Casey Hub is to provide relief to persons in need, including:
i. children who have been orphaned;
iv. those afflicted by poverty;
v. those afflicted by disease or illness;
vi. those afflicted by natural catastrophe;
vii. those afflicted by psychological or physical trauma;
viii. those afflicted by war;
ix. victims of crime; and
x. victims of domestic violence. Casey Hub aims to achieve its charitable purpose by:
• provide care, accommodation, assistance, safe haven and refuge to assist them in rebuilding their lives and achieve a measure of self-support;
• offer programs to reduce the scourge of drug addiction and substance abuse as well as help to rehabilitate offenders and integrate them back into society;
• organise funeral services and offer assistance in burial to those who cannot afford it;
• provide resources, disaster and emergency relief, technical assistance, health care, education, training and self-help programs to people in need;
• strengthen the capacity for self-help and sustainable development, as appropriate to the needs and priorities of particular locations and communities;
• alleviate the suffering, distress and humiliation experienced by victims of abuse, prejudice and discrimination; and
• do all things as may be incidental or ancillary to the attainment of this object.
