The next journey we embark on at Bhav is down the road of the Yamas and Niyamas. The first two limbs of the eight limbs of yoga. These are more than just codes of conducts and restraints. Their encoded teachings are still relevant along every step of the way in this journey towards subtlety.
These restraints are Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truthfulness), Asteya (non-stealing), Brahmacharya (celibacy or moderation), and Aparigraha (non-greed).
The Niyamas consist of five observances that promote personal discipline and spiritual growth. These observances are Saucha (cleanliness), Santosha (contentment), Tapas (discipline and self-control), Svadhyaya (self-study and self-reflection), and Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender to a higher power).
By embracing and practicing these principles, individuals can cultivate a more balanced and mindful approach to life, cultivating inner peace, well-being and the most direct path towards evolution.
